Farm Holiday Cottage is situated on the banks of Loch Tay, with
the spectacular backdrop of Ben Lawers, the highest munro in Perthshire.
The location is an ideal base for a walking, sightseeing or activity holiday, or just for a peaceful relaxing get away.
Loch Tay is well known for fishing and watersports.
· The cottage is on a working hill sheep and cattle farm, and you
can often view our blackface sheep and suckler cows from the cottage.
· The cottage is within easy travelling distance of local attractions
such as The Crannog near Kenmore, Dewars Distillery in Aberfeldy, Pitlochry
Festival Theatre, Blair Castle.
They are surrounded by magnificent scenery in the area such as Queens View at Loch Tummel, the Falls of Dochart at Killin - not to mention the surrounding peaks of Ben Lawers, the Lawers range and Schiehallion.
Balbeg Farm Holiday Cottages Accommodation
The cottage was converted from the former farm stable and byre, completed
in summer 2005.
You will find the accommodation modern and spacious with magnificent views
down Loch Tay towards Kenmore.
The cottage is well equipped and features a fully fitted kitchen with
oven, hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and microwave.
· In the lounge french doors lead out onto the patio and garden,
or if you prefer to stay in, a colour television and dvd player are provided
for your use. The lounge also features a wood burning stove (fuel can
be provided during the winter months). The dining area will comfortably
seat six.
· There is a large family bathroom downstairs with bath and separate
shower.
· Upstairs there are 2 spacious bedrooms, a double and a twin room
with underbeds allows up to six people to sleep comfortably. There is
ample storage space and duvets, pillows and blankets are provided for
all beds.
· The cottage has full central heating.
Balbeg Farm holiday cottage is a beautiful stone built cottage on a working sheep and cattle farm on the banks of Loch Tay.
Newly built with excellent modern facilities, yet boasting the charm
of a more traditional cottage, Balbeg has wonderful views and is an excellent
base for touring, walking, golf, watersports, distilleries, castles and
much more!
Personally maintained by the owners to a very high standard, linen and
towels provided.
Getting there from the Information Centre:
The nearest TIC is Aberfeldy. From Aberfeldy centre take the A827 West,
passing through Kenmore and along the North side of Loch Tay. Babeg is
14 miles from Aberfeldy on this road.
Getting There by Railway:
Nearest rail stations are Pitlochry to the East or Crianlarich to the
West.
