known as "Grandpa's cottage" sits tucked up by a sparkling burn.
Set in the wonderfully manicured grounds of the original Balnald sawmill, Grandpa's Cottage offers outstanding self-catering comfort in a beautiful rural setting.
Grandpa's Cottage was built in 1836 as part of the original Balnald sawmill courtyard. With its slate roof and mix of locally quarried stone, it blends perfectly with its rocky backdrop and leafy setting. Enjoy an al fresco drink from the elevated patio behind the cottage looking south to Drummond hill, or take a stroll 400 yards down to the award winning Fortingall Hotel.
Grandpa's cottage has been converted and fully refurbished with your comfort in mind. Soft furnishings in natural colours, use of wood and stone, and wonderful flagstone floors go to make it a haven for relaxation. All rooms are south facing and the sun streams in during the day. From the Aberfeldy tourist Information Center, follow the B846 to Kinloch
Rannoch, after 6 miles turn left - sign posted Fortingall. Once in Fortingall,
Balnald is the last drive on the right just before the bridge.
