Victoria Falls
Mosi-oa-tunya 'the smoke that thunders'

The Victoria Falls is one of the seven natural wonders of the world, situated in the middle of Africa forming a natural border between Zambia and Zimbabwe.
Known by the locals as 'Mosi oa tunya' which means the smoke that thunders after the large plume of spray that rises high into the air over the Victoria Falls as the Mighty Zambezi River plunges over the edge down over 100 meters into the giant gorge below.
The mighty Zambezi river plunges over Victoria Falls into the deep gorges that divide Zambia and Zimbabwe

It is easy to spend the whole day walking along the footpaths soaking up this fantastic spectacle of nature or swimming on the edge of the Falls (in dry season we hasten to add) and then go back the next day for more.

The Victoria Falls is more than impressive…
The main falls view from the Zimbabwe side of the falls

Given its name 'Victoria' falls by the famous explorer Dr David Livingstone in honour of the then monarch of England Queen Victoria, David Livingstone was the first person to make records and draw sketches of this amazing wonder in what was then deepest darkest Africa.

Now it is a lot easier to visit Victoria Falls and we hope we can help plan your time visiting this most amazing part of Africa. We have visited the area, inspected the hotels, lodges, camping places, restaurants, taken all the photographs on this website, visited the falls from both sides of the border and now offer all you this information to plan your holiday to Victoria Falls with the best advice possible.

So please browse through the site and email us with any questions, and to make a booking for any of the hotels, lodges, camping sites, backpackers, activities or flights just email us and we will find the best price for you and advise you on which places are suitable for your requirements.
So let us do the work while you enjoy all that Victoria falls has to offer because there is more than the falls to enjoy:
try a Zambezi River cruise, White Water raft down the Zambezi, fly over Victoria falls in a helicopter or a microlite, horse ride in the bush, take a day trip to Botswana's fabulous Chobe park for a days game-viewing, browse the home carved souvenirs in Livingstone Town, step back in history at the Livingstone Museum, fish for Tigers in the Zambezi waters, picnic on livingstone Island (on top of the Falls) sip a cocktail while the sun slips down and much much more.....
