Welcome to Waterberry Zambezi Lodge. Our small, friendly, informal lodge is just 30 minutes from Livingstone but in the heart of the wild.

After a short drive from Livingstone, you'll turn left off the main road and wind your way through our mopane woodland towards the river to reach Waterberry. We're in a breathtaking secluded position on the banks of the spectacular Zambezi River with wonderful views to the Zimbabwean game park on the opposite bank.

Waterberry lodge is situated in a breathtalking secluded location approximately 30 minutes upstream from the Victoria Falls on the Zambian side of the Zambezi river.

It's the perfect setting for a holiday visiting the amazing Victoria Falls and enjoying the wide range of activities around Livingstone before heading off to explore wonderful Zambia. It's also within easy reach of neighbouring Botswana, Zimbabwe and Namibia.

At Waterberry, our comfortable bedrooms are in thatched cottages set around sweeping lawns - some on the riverbank, some overlooking our own secluded private dam with its beautiful birdlife.

All the en suite rooms have their own decks for sunbathing, birdwatching, private dinners or just relaxing……ideal for recovering from a long flight to reach us, or relaxing after the rigours of early morning and late night safari drives.

Guests love our informal style and our friendly, welcoming staff who do all they can to make your stay a really memorable Zambezi experience.

Waterberry is the perfect place just to rest and watch the view - on the large terrace, the floating sun deck, in the upstairs viewing lounge and bar area or around the large swimming pool.

And our food is great too - enjoy alfresco meals, traditional bush dinners, or barbecues cooked under the stars.

Rooms at Waterberry lodge
Waterberry Zambezi Lodge has a range of comfortable accommodation, close enough to Livingstone to enjoy all the activities there, but far enough away to escape the crowds and feel a real sensation of being in the wild.

Our double, twin or family bedrooms are open to the high thatch (nice and cooling in the hot sun), with comfortable beds, en suite bathrooms, mosquito nets and fans.

Most have private decks overlooking the river or our private dam (great for sundowners, private dinners, birdwatching or just sitting around with a good book). Take a look at the pictures on the left to see our cottages and bedrooms

Waterberry has seven rooms- including secluded riverside doubles, lakeside rooms with extra beds and two family units with adjoining bedrooms.

The main double-storey lodge overlooks the Zambezi and the game park beyond. Upstairs the main lounge is open to the high thatch with plenty of seating and magnificent views. Meals are served in the dining area or alfresco on the sun terrace overlooking the river, or guests can have private dinners on their terraces or one of the secluded pontoons or platforms around the lodge.

The large and welcoming swimming pool, set in the centre of landscaped lawns, has a small plunge pool at to the shallow end, making it safe for children.

The floating pontoon on the river is perfect for sundowners, fishing or just relaxing and enjoying the view.

Guests can also walk our (signposted) nature trail around the lake to see birds, fish and small wildlife.

Our boats are on hand for fishing and for dawn, daytime or sunset cruises and island picnics.

The central double-storey lodge has a magnificent view as it overlooks the river and game park beyond. Guests can enjoy the magnificent view from the sun terrace or the dining room at ground level or from the upstairs lounge which has a well stocked bar.

Guests can sit back and laze in the warm African sun near the pool which is also in the centre of the lodges or relax by the river bank. Something to look out for is the Hippo's and elephant's which are regular visitors to Waterberry, especially at dusk.

The comfortable en-suite accommodation is in double, twin or family thatched cottages which are grouped around the main lodge area close to the swimming pool, with views over the spectacular Zambezi river and the lodge's private lake. Each room is stylishly decorated and equipted with fans,it has hot running water and electricity. The beds have mosquito nets ensuring a peaceful nights rest.
