Enjoy the freedom of driving yourself on your timetable, opens up many areas and gets you in touch with the people and the places as you go.

We will have a vehicle ready for you at the airport (or other location), all your accommodation will be reserved and your itinerary planned, all you have to do is drive yourself on safari.

We recomend you pick up your car hire vehicle from Johannesburg and take a self drive safari to the Kruger Park before crossing the border into Mozambique. Alternatively to save time you could fly from Johannesburg to Kruger and pick up a car hire from Kruger airport either at the beginning of your Kruger safari (if you want to drive yourself) or at the end if you prefer to take a guided wildlife safari.

The distances in Africa can be quite daunting and can quickly eat into your holiday time. In these packages you will fly from Johannesburg to airports close to your chosen lodges to ensure you make the most of every moment of your holiday. There are currently twice weekly flights from Kruger to Vilanculos and the Bazaruto Islands which make Kruger Park and either a beach lodge in Vilanculos or one of the Bazaruto Island lodges a particularly good Bush & Beach combination.
