The north-central part of Namibia is known as Damaraland and is so named after the Damara-people who have been inhabiting this dry but breathtakingly beautiful region since ancient times. Bordered by Ovamboland to the north, the Namib in the west and the Kalahari in the east, Damaraland offers numerous spectacular attractions which should not be missed by any tourist travelling through Namibia.
