What To Do at Waterberg Resort

Waterberg Plateau is a haven for hikers, offering short self-guided trails and longer overnight wilderness hikes (booked in advance / Please enquire). Daily guided 4x4 game drives are available, but no self-guided drives are permitted. Predators like the side-striped jackal roam, with rare chances to spot cheetahs, leopards, or even wild dogs. Common sightings include zebra, giraffe, wildebeest, and various antelope, including the rare sable antelope. Birders can delight in spotting black eagles and Cape vultures among 200 species. Game viewing here differs from Etosha's denser wildlife. For a prioritised game-viewing experience, Etosha is recommended, although Waterberg offers a unique and tranquil setting.
