The Palmwag Concession lies in the wilderness between the Skeleton Coast and Kaokoland, where the beauty of the region is amplified by the desert landscape and flat-topped mountains.

Palmwag Lodge lies on the banks of the ephimeral Uniab river, where the subterranean water comes to the surface to quench the thirst of the desert-dwelling wildlife by creating a green oasis with massive Makalani palm trees in the arid surroundings.
