Gelbingen Lodge is situated in the middle of the Kaoko-Etosha Conservancy on the Southwestern border of the Etosha National Park. It is the ideal stop over for guests traveling to Opuwo or the Epupa Falls.
Guests staying at Gelbingen can do game drives, guided walks or a sundowner drive.

We are situated in a mountainous valley in the middle of a Mopani tree savannah. While enjoying our hospitality you can easily explore the Etosha National Park, Damaraland and Kaokoland, or enjoy one of our tours with us.

Five years ago part of a Himba clan settled on the Farm Gelbingen. Although it was a difficult beginning since two worlds clashed with each other, we somehow found a way to live together in complete harmony, the Himbas in their traditional ("stone aged") way, and us in our European manner. They have settled and continue their lives as they know.

Accomodation There are only 10 guest rooms and two guide at Gelbingen Lodge making the overall experience a much more personal one.

From Kamanjab take the C35 to Ruacana/Opuwo. After 8kms turn right onto the D2763 and continue for 24km until you get to the big, yellow “Gelbingen Garni Safaris” sign on your left. Turn left and after 3km you reach the lodge.
