The Barra peninsula is bordered by the Inhambane estuary on one side, on the other side of Barra peninsula is the sea shore with long white sandy beaches. The barra peninsula is accessible in a normal car, although the last few km's to some of the barra resorts are on a corrugated dirt road which can get sandy in patches, especially after a high tide.
