Barra Lodge Accommodation

Barra Lodge "casitas" have twin beds, mosquito nets, fans and en-suite bathroom with shower and toilet.
Breakfast and dinner is included in your package, and you can enjoy lunch in the restaurant or at the more relaxed beach bar.
Barra Lodge self catering chalets can sleep a maximum of 6 people, there are two bedrooms sleeping 2 per bedroom and it is possible to sleep two extra people in the living area on request.
All accommodation is serviced (cleaned) daily.

Barra Lodge is set in one of the most picturesque areas in Mozambique, with spectacular views of pristine beaches and the crystal clear waters of the Indian Ocean.

Situated 485km north of Maputo, access by road is on a tarred road which is suitable for normal vehicles. The road from Maputo to Xai Xai has been upgraded and resurfaced. Please note that there are numerous towns and villages en-route and the main road often passes directly through these villages. Speed limits are enforced in these places and it is advised to drive with caution. Do not drive at night. The drive from Maputo to Inhambane can take anything between 6 – 8 hours and sufficient time needs to be allowed to avoid night driving. One may also fly to Inhambane. Direct flights from O.R.Tambo Airport in Johannesburg operate throughout the week. See Homepage/Directions for flight information. These flights may be booked with us and in conjunction with accommodation.

From the historical city of Inhambane it is only a 30 minute drive to Barra Lodge and transfers are done by the lodge staff.
