Directions from Cape Town to Birkenhead House via scenic route
From Cape Town airport follow the signs for N2 Somerset West.
Keep on the N2, continue on the N2 until you reach Sir Lowry’s Pass.
Take a right turn to Gordon’s Bay. Drive on the R44 towards Rooiels
(Towards Kleinmond). Continue on the R44 through the following towns:
Rooiels, Pringle Bay, Betty’s Bay and
Kleinmond, pass through Kleinmond and approx. 10km outside of Kleinmond
you will reach the R43. Take
a right towards Hermanus. The R43 will take you straight into Hermanus’
Main Road you will reach the first round-about, continue straight through.
You will pass through town, the road will curve sharply to the left, continue
on this road, you will then reach a second round-about with The Marine
Hotel on your right hand side, continue straight through the round-about.
You will eventually reach a third round about, take the second exit towards
Stanford, continue on this road until you reach the first road turning
to your right - 7th Avenue (turn
off for Voelklip Beach). Turn right and proceed to the end of the road.
Birkenhead House will be on your right (Corner of 7th Avenue and 11th
Street).
