Thresher Cove is a luxury dive and vacation resort situated in a private bay on the unspoiled east side of the Island of Malapascua. Just one tiny island of the 7,107 that make up the Philippine Archipelago.

Thresher Cove is bounded by hills on three sides making it totally secluded and secure. The safe blue waters of the Visayan Sea lap gently at the gently sloping, 100m long white- sand beach that will serve as the gateway to your holiday adventures.

Set in large beautiful grounds, we off the chance to relax in peace away from the noise of the public beach.

Each day we offer you the chance to dive with thresher sharks. But we also dive with manta, hammer heads and thresher shark. For those who love macro life and photography then we will take you diving with pygmy sea horses, frog fish and a host of other amazing sea-life.

For non-divers, we offer snorkelling, our own beach has wonderful snorkelling, canoeing, swimming in our pool, volleyball, badminton, billiards/pool or just relaxing spa treatments. Our restaurant has rapidly gained a reputation for excellent healthy, fresh foods to suit most budgets and tastes, and includes an extensive vegetarian selection. We even make our own bread, baguettes and croissant.

Accommodation is designed to look native on the outside but retains inside, everything you expect from a great resort, air-conditioning, en-suite bathroom, comfortable beds and pillows, satellite TV, Free Wi-Fi and a refrigerator.

Captain’s Villa

The Captain’s Villa is possibly the best accommodation on the island. At 60sqm it very spacious. Its outfitted with a large flat screen TV with international cable channels, a refrigerator, kingsize bed and a separate lounge area with sofas.

Outside a large private raised balcony has stunning views over our beach to the Visayan Sea beyond.

This room can have many bed configurations up to a total occupancy of 3 adults and 2 or 3 children.

Deluxe Rooms

For customers that prefer a little luxury, then our Deluxe rooms will meet you requirements Designed to look like native houses they feature wooden and bamboo clad outer walls and a palm leaf covered roof.

Each room has an en-suite bathroom, refrigerator, TV and air-conditioning. The bed is a super comfortable queen size although other bed types are available.

Each room has sea views which can be enjoyed from the attached private balcony.

Cabanas

Small native style sleeping hut for two people. They are constructed from bamboo and coconut palm wood with palm leaves covering the roof.

Cabanas have a raised sleeping platform and are waterproof. Because cabanas have walls made from woven bamboo the air passes through them at night keeping them much cooler than a tent.

We can’t help feeling that they are much more romantic than a tent.

Dorms

We always try to keep one or two rooms set up as dormitories.
The dorms are air-conditioned and have bunk-beds (double deck single beds) or sometimes we open a dorm with double beds for couples. Some dorms even have a dedicated en-suite bathroom with shower and toilet.

Tents
(FREE if you dive with us)

A simple one or two man tent with an insect screen. Our tents are placed within our large garden, overlooking our private beach. You’ll have a perfect view of sunrise every morning. We’ll provide a mattress and bedding.
