Kaya Kweru is only 40 meter’s walk to the beach where you can spend the day swimming, snorkeling, fishing, surfing or just lazing in the sun.

Kaya Kweru Accommodation

Comfort is our priority therefore Kaya Kweru boasts an up market friendly resort with 24 en-suite rooms. In all of our suites you will find complete bed linens, duvets, air conditioning, en-suites with shower and tiled flooring. Our Housekeeping staff will make sure your suite has fresh bath towels and is cleaned daily. We cater to small groups as well as larger groups, just let us know what you need and we will take care of the rest.
There are plenty of parking spaces for vehicles, boats, jet skis and quad bikes with 24 -hour security. We do offer pick-ups from the Kosi Bay border crossing (minimum 2 people).

Backpackers Accommodation

We now offer a 4 - 8 bed dorm room because we see the demand for backpackers wanting to come explore Ponta D’ouro. The best part is that you get full use of the resorts facilities at reasonable backpacker prices.
Each dorm room has it’s own en suite bathroom, air conditioning and full linens. So now our international travelers can come to Ponta D’ouro and experience Southern Mozambique. Although you need a 4WD to get to Ponta D’ouro from the border doesn’t mean you can’t come.

Kaya Kweru Facilities

Our amenities include a swimming pool, braai area, lounge area and restaurant. We also have a Sports Bar with DSTV, so for those sports enthusiasts, you won’t need to worry about missing any games. Check out the beautiful ocean view, watch the sunset or learn how to drum from our roof top patio. There are several restaurants, bars and shopping within walking distance, including the local market.

Ponta D'ouro is a popular destination and attracts many visitors from South Africa who want to scuba dive, surf or anyone who just wants to get away.
The coastline from Ponta D’ouro up to Ponta Santa Maria is known for its great snorkeling, marine life and diving. You won’t have a hard time finding a dive operator or fishing charter here.
Can you imagine diving with Whale Sharks, Hammerhead’s and Dolphin’s, well you can have all of it here. While there are sharks in the ocean the good news is that there has never been a shark attack in Ponta.
Ponta D'ouro is 120km south of Maputo along a sandy road or 10km from the South African Border in Kosi Bay. You will need a 4WD when coming to Ponta from either Kosi Bay or Maputo. But there are other ways to get here is you don’t have a 4WD.
