Before your day’s diving begins, join us in the shop for a wake-up
cup of tea or coffee and toast.
There is ample space for you to assemble and test your diving equipment
before it is loaded onto the boat.
Our staff will help you with all your equipment requirements. Before the
dive, the dive guide will give a full and thorough dive and safety briefing
For those of our customers participating in one of our PADI Courses, we
have an excellent 9m x 5m on-site salt-water training pool for completion
of all shallow water training in controlled and comfortable conditions.
We have cool and comfortable classroom facilities equipped with TV, video,
and all other requirements for an enjoyable training environment. We provide
all the training materials and equipment (up to and including Rescue Diver)
that you will require for your course.
The Dive Boats
We have two excellent dive boats. Both are 7.5m semi-rigid inflatables
with 2 x 85hp Yamaha engines. The design of the boats and the size of
their engines makes surf launches and beaching plus the journey to and
from the dive sites comfortable and (very) speedy.
Both have stainless steel tank racks that hold 14 sets of equipment plus
storage for fins, weights etc. Each are fitted with advanced GPS for easy
dive site location, plus emergency oxygen, first aid equipment and full
DOT seaworthy kit for your safety and peace-of-mind.
Rental Equipment
We provide full-length 5mm Scubapro wetsuits that are titanium coated
to give extra insulation. Full-foot Mares and Scubapro fins and an assortment
of quality masks complete the set.
Our 10 and 12 litre aluminium tanks are well-maintained. A thorough annual
visual inspection and hydrostatic test ensures that each tank is in perfect
working order every time you dive.
Scuba diving with Diversity Scuba will be the most exciting thing you
ever do...
The sea conditions can vary from very calm to quite choppy. However,
the surf entry and exit is made safe and easy by our powerful twin-engined
semi-rigid boat, which is designed to make the journey to and from the
dive sites as speedy and comfortable as possible. Our boat skippers are
experienced in surf entries and exits - which is all part of the fun!
Seasons and Temperatures
As we dive all year round, here is a little more information on conditions
throughout the year. Summer months are October to April. Winter months
are May to September. The water temperature in the summer months is on
average 27-28 degrees C but sometimes drops to 22-23 degrees C (although
this is rare). Water temperature in the winter months is average 22 degrees
C but can go as high as 24 degrees C and as low as 18 degrees C. Visibility
is variable all year round with highs of 30m and lows of 5m. Windy months
are usually February (when there is a higher chance of cyclones) and August,
although, again this is not always the case. When winds are strong, the
sea can become rough but diving is still possible. A dive rarely has to
be cancelled due to bad conditions
