Dumela lodge is “your home away from home” when visiting Francistown in the North Eastern part of Botswana, whether on business or just passing through. DUMELA is the very first word you hear when you enter Botswana borders. It means HELLO or GOODDAY. We are a family owned and managed “bush lodge” in Francistown perfectly located as a stopover to the Sua Pans, Central Kalahari Game Reserve, Makgadikgadi National Park, Nxai Pan National Park, Maun, Moremi Game Reserve, Okavango Delta, Chobe National Park, Livingstone in Zambia & the famous Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. - We are located quietly on a 3.6Ha plot just under
10 minutes drive from both the city centre and the airport.
- Our main complex is constructed from raised timber decks, Half split
gum pole walls and thatched roof. The open plan structure houses reception
area, cocktail bar (where you can catch up with your favourite sport on
Satellite TV) and restaurant.
- The main complex provides wi-fi hot spot for all. Just bring you gadget
and keep in touch with family and friends.
- Accommodation comprises 7 luxury en-suite tented chalets
on raised timber decks. We guarantee our guests a high ratio of staff
to guests.
Our 7 Luxury tented chalets consist of: 3 twin beds chalets and 4 double beds chalets which have en-suite facilities (toilet and free standing bath tub). We have a Hair dryer in each room for your convenience as well as Tea/coffee making facilities.
Mosquito nets are provided in the rooms as well as TV (SABC). The rooms are equipped with both heaters and fans to make your stay more pleasurable.

Some ideas of what to do at Dumela Lodge
At Dumela Lodge we host corporate christmas parties, corporate
cocktail parties, corporate brand launches as well as weddings. We offer
traditional music and dancing as well as meetings of workshops for up
to thirty delegates.
Enjoy some physical activity on our volleyball court with volleyball tournaments.
During scotching hot Botswana summer days you can cool off from the heat in our ever sparkling swimming pool. Our swimming pool is the biggest in town with beach volleyball court.
Where is Dumela Lodge?
Francistown is accessible via A1 from South & North East
and A3 from North (Nata/Kasane/Maun) when driving.
When you arrive in Francistown from the South, drive through the city center and on the third traffic circle take the first exit, go across the railway line and at the traffic lights turn right. You will drive past Garrison army barracks then prisons and just before the bridge ahead of you turn right and follow the road all the way to Dumela Lodge.
When you are coming from the North East (Zimbabwe), at the first traffic circle turn right, go across the railway line and at the traffic lights turn right and you will drive past the above Garrison army barracks then drive all the way to Dumela lodge. If you are coming from the North (via Nata/Kasane), drive between the stadium and airport. At the Y-junction turn left and cross Tati river. At the third traffic lights turn left and you will drive past the above Garrison army barracks then drive all the way to Dumela Lodge.
