The Lotus Hotel is located in the Heart of Chiang Mai, capital of the North of Thailand, the Rose of the North, renowned as being a Shangri-La. The Hotel has been designed to give you that warm, at home feeling. Each room has its own distinct character, beautifully decorated with English colonial antiques.

All rooms are fitted with quiet air conditioning with temperature control, color television with a video channel, radio cassette deck, telephone, refrigerator, and your own built-in safe. Top quality linens and bathroom amenities are also provided.

Our English-speaking staff have been trained to cater for your every whim, with that personal touch to ensure First Class service. Some of the services offered are ticketing, car and motorcycle rentals, sight-seeing both in and out of the city, or trekking through the mountains. For your entertainment you will find on the premises and in the vicinity bars, restaurants, and mini-marts.

You can relax all day on the terrace cafe, surrounded by flowers, enjoying drinks and snacks, or light meals. In the evening a full meal service is provided at the Garden Bar and hotel front entrance.

Superior

This room is located on the Eastern side of the Lotus Hotel. The Jasmine is a medium sized room of 21m2 (226sq.ft) with no balcony and a ceiling height of 2.85 meters (9.35ft) at its peak. The room is tastefully decorated in a Colonial style with Burmese antique pieces, with a comfortable double bed and with all the modern amenities that a traveler requires.

Deluxe

It is located on the Western side of the Lotus hotel building overlooking the hotel garden and has no balcony. It is a medium size room with an area of 26m2 (280ft2) and a ceiling height of 2.85m ( 9’4?) at its peak. The design is contemporary with neutral colors, high quality materials and plenty of natural light.

The Frangipani room has two single beds 91cmx2m/ea ( 3'x6.5ft) that can easily be joined to create a double bed, an en-suite bathroom with a shower cubicle and all the modern amenities that a traveler requires.

Suite

It is located on the South-East side of the Lotus Hotel building and has no balcony. It is the only suite where the bedroom (with a Queen size bed 1.6m wide (5ft 6?) ) is completely separated from the living area. The Gardenia Room has an area of 42m2 (452ft2) and a grand ceiling height of 3.7 m (12ft) at its peak.

It is tastefully decorated with antique pieces and art work creating a late Ottoman period mood with Thai artifacts. Large Suite 331 has its own en-suite bathroom with a shower cubicle, plenty of wardrobe storage capacity and all the modern amenities that a traveler requires.

Directions to Lotus Hotel

By Air:
Domestic airlines (Thai Airways International, Bangkok Airways, Air Asia, Orient Thai Airlines and Nok Air ) operate several daily flights between Bangkok and Chiang Mai. A one-way flight takes about one hour.

By Bus:
Several ordinary and air-conditioned buses leaving daily from Bangkok's Northern Bus Terminal (also known as Mo Chit) on Kamphaeng Phet 2 Road.

By Train:
Express and rapid trains leave for Chiang Mai from Hualamphong Station several times daily and the trip takes about 11-12 hours for express trains. It is highly recommended to reserve seats well in advance, especially for sleepers.
