Things to do

Sea Dive Restaurant Located near the “daungan,” Sea Dive serves simple but delicious breakfast fare and in healthy portions. I had the American scramble while my companions had the Sea Dive Benedict and french toast. A plus is that their breads are baked fresh daily and there is free flowing coffee.

Kawayanan Grill Kawayanan Grill serves traditional Filipino food and is quite popular among locals and tourists. They have fresh seafood available and other traditional Filipino dishes such as Lechon Kawali. I would recommend to try the Kawayanan platter to have a taste of their specials. Other dishes we enjoyed were the Kinilaw, deep fried chili peppers stuffed with cheese and the sizzling fish steak.

Big Mama’s Big Mama’s serves Filipino food their specialty being bulalo and sinigang. We also tried their pork sisig which was also delicious. They would say that the servings are good for one person but if you are not a heavy eater, I think the portions are good for 2 or even 3 adults.

Sinugba sa Balay We were regulars at Sinugba sa Balay during our stay. Kat, the owner and chef of the restaurant is always welcoming and she lets us know if she has a fresh catch for the day. The restaurant has a very cool and tribal ambience which makes the dining experience more fun. Our favorites were the tuna tataki, tuna belly, fresh lumpia and peasant stew (nilagang baboy). You shouldn’t miss trying their smoothies, pineapple lime or mango banana ginger which are refreshing and delicious!

Experience Coron Town

Centennial Shrine Located in the same area as Lualhati Park, the starting point of most Island Hopping Tours.

Coron Baywalk Situated in the reclaimed area of the town. You can take a stroll, rest in one of the benches, and enjoy the view. You can spot the islands and islets of Coron. It's always a great place to watch the sunset.

Mt. Tapyas Hill View Deck Tapyas is the second highest mountain in Coron. It is 210 meters above sea level. Be ready to walk 700 plus steps to reach the top. Once you reach the peak, you will see remnants of a white cross that once stood there. The peak of Mt. Tapyas offers a majestice view of Coron town as well as its neighboring islands such a Kayangan Lake, Twin Peaks and Lagoon, Siete Picados and the Calamines group of Islands. If you have time, reserve a spot and wait for the sun to go down.

This way to Cashew Processing Learn more about cashew processing at the famous Coron Harvest Farm. You can also buy cashew nuts to take home after the tour.

This way to Maquinit Hot Spring The hot spring is located in Maquinit Village which approximately five kilometeres from Coron Town. There are 2 small and 1 large naturally ocurring salt water springs which is said to be heated by a volcano.

Experience Coron Island Eco-Tours

Siete Pecados Marine Park The park is made up of seven small islands that may look plain and ordinary above water. But once you've strapped on your snorkeling gear, it willbe a totally different story. This cluster of islets is home to rich marine life, abundant corals, fish of varied colors and species. The beauty underneath makes Siete Picados one of Coron's best sites for snorkeling.

Calachuchi Beach Coron Coral Gardens Another excellent spot for scuba diving and snorkeling where one can view vibrant, healthy coral and marine life.

Kayangan Lake The lake is surrounded by limestone and natural greenery. It is the cleanest lake in the country that made up of 70% freshwater and 30% saltwater. The 10 minute climb toward the inland lake will be all woth it since Kayangan Lake is the perfect sport for a swim.

Twin Lagoons The lagoons have different purposes. First lagoon is a dock, whele the mysterious second lagoon serves as a challenge to tourists. The waters in twin lagoons may sometimes be murky and switch from warm to cold temperatures because of the meeting of hot saltwater and warm cold freshwater
