Doublegem Beach Resort also comfort guest lounging needs with lobby which is made from local crafted driftwood furniture’s. The big space on each floor can comfortably accommodate up to 30 people and provides an atmosphere to make friends with neighboring guestrooms. Smoking spaces are also provided for guest, as all rooms are strictly non smoking.

Doublegem Beach Resort has cogon gazeboos, each gazeboo can accommodate maximum of 6 people comfortably seated, zipping their drinks and laugh with family and friends while waiting for the sunset. Doublegem is one of the few resorts in El Nido which has the accessibility of the main highway traversing the property, with the beach on one side and the forest on the other side. Aside from the beach, guest can also enjoy the cool breeze of the mountain, a glimpse of the virgin forest Philippine setting, presence of endemic plants and animals like butterflies, birds, monkeys, and trees like saleng and banaba trees known for their medicinal attributes.

Doublegem Beach Resort has a 3 storey building with a total of 12 rooms all air conditioned. Each room has a size of 4 meters x 6 meters or a total of 24 square meters, with its own toilet and bath. Each room has Large window so proper light and air ventilation is provided. In times where there is no electricity, guests are encouraged to open their windows wide open to enjoy the fresh air outside. For superior rooms, two large windows are provided. There is a rattan cabinet with key where guests can store their belongings and valuables. A luggage rack is provided so guests will not have difficulty in getting things from the luggage down the floor.

Each room is equipped with flat screen tv powered thru cable. Toilet and bath has a hot and cold shower, and provided with bidet for washing. Superior rooms have granite counter tops and large mirror in the bath rooms. Electricity supply in El Nido is from 2pm to 6am thus, rooms are airconditioned during these hours only. The back up generator provides the lighting system during brown outs.

Caving and Climbing

You can never bore of the islands, but sometimes you may hunger for something a bit different. No problem, El Nido boasts much more. Through the tourism office, you can book tours with the El Nido Tour Guides Association. They can take you Cliff Climbing which gives a marvelous birds eye view. Venture north of the town and you can go Cave Exploring, and also discover the Waterfalls.

El Nido Inland Adventure

Nacpan and Calitang Beach is the best among the beaches in El Nido. The Nacpan and Calitang beach is located 25 kilometers north of EL Nido town, situated in the mainland of Bacuit Bay. A trek to El Nido's Makinit Hotsprings and Nagkalit Kalit Falls is also included in this tour. Nacpan and Calitang Beaches, unlike the other beaches and Islands in El Nido is is not usually visited by tourist allowing you to bask in your own piece of paradise.Nagkalit Kalit Falls is located deep in the forest an hour away from El Nido by jeep and on foot through the lush jungle, are magical waterfalls and jungle pools amidst cascading falls. It’s an amazing experience to trek in the jungle, a true back to nature feeling.

This spot is not only preferred by nature enthusiasts but also by adventure trekkers and mountaineers. Visitors need to hike for around thirty to forty five minutes for reaching the falls. The enjoyable trek to the Nagkalit Kalit Falls in El Nido, Palawan will begin at the local villages of the municipality. Trekkers will then pass through some rice fields and jungle trails. The trek to reach this beautiful waterfall will also involve some river crossings so one must prepare to get your shoes and feet wet.

Directions to Doublegem Beach Resort

There are two options going to El Nido by plane first is Manila to El Nido chartered flight which is a direct flight but should be booked in advance. The second option is a direct flight to Puerto Princesa Airport upon arrival, take the 6 hour land trip from the airport to El Nido Town via aircon and non aircon bus public transport or private vans. Bus are located in San Jose Terminal in Puerto Princesa. It takes 30 minutes from El Nido downtown to the resort.

The resort is a 10 minute drive to the downtown of El Nido and a 15 minute drive to El Nido Beach. It is a 15 minute walk to El Nido Public Market. Puerto Princesa Airport is a 6 hr drive away.
