When you come to Plearnwan, you will be reminded of the past, and the past will come to life. Plearnwan is a ‘Living Museum’. It is not just unique architecture, but a place of lively memories. At Plearnwan, we think back to the place in times past, and imitate that period in the lifestyle of the people, in food, drink, architecture, language, etc.

Plearnwan is derived from a combination of the English words 'Play and Learn', together with a Thai word ‘Wan’ that means yesterday. We gave it this name because we wanted Plearnwan to be a place where everyone can play out the lifestyle of earlier times, and in playing can learn some of the history, ritual, culture, and arts of living of that period. Pleanwan is a place for playing and learning the past in order to bring it to life for new generations.

We are also convinced that Piman Plearnwan is the only accommodation that offers you Thai classic bathroom style. Take a bath from an old style water heater-a great earthenware jar, from which you ladle out warm water to bath yourself.

Directions to Piman Plearnwan Hotel

Plane
Visitors from abroad can fly to the primary airport of Bangkok. Direct flights are scheduled into Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi International Airport, from many main airports around the world. You can also have a connecting flight from the Suvarnabhumi International Airport to Hua Hin around 45 minutes by plane. The other option in getting is to take a bus, mini bus, train, taxi, car and limousine. Generally Hua Hin town, is 230 kilometres southwest of Bangkok which is a 3 hour drive. Arriving from Hua Hin Airport you can take a van, tuk tuk, or taxi going to the hotel. It is a 30 hour drive from Hua Hin downtown.

Bus and Mini Bus
Hourly bus services are available from Southern Bus Terminal. You can take either an air conditioned or non air conditioned buses which ply the route from Southern Bus Terminal to Srasong Road in Hua Hin. Some of these buses will take you further south like the adjoining district of Pranburi and Petchburi. Passengers to Hua Hin get down at the Clock Tower located at the heart of town. Reservation is required to secure seats and must be book in person. In Bangkok, minibuses start from Ratchawitee Hospital near the Victory Monument. Minibuses unload passengers in a site off Petchkasem Road in the centre of town. Buses fare range from THB 160 to THB 200.

Taxi or Car
You can also flag down taxi or hire a car and drive all the way to Hua Hin. There are two routes from Bangkok to Hua Hin. The shorter one is along Thonburi-Paktho Road, via Samut Songkhram, Petchkasem Highway and along the route to Prachuab Khirikhan. The longer one is via Nakhon Pathom, Ratchaburi and Petchaburi. Fare is around THB 3000.

Train
Train is a safer and comfortable way to reach Hua Hin from Bangkok. Trains run from Hua Lum Pong Railway Station in Bangkok to the historic Hua Hin railway station. Both stations can be reached easily.
