Once a traditional Lanna (northern Thai) guesthouse and restaurant run by a local family, the two-story property was completely renovated and modernized in 2008 by the original owner’s son and his wife.

These two talented architects combined eclectic European design touches and natural Lanna materials to create their very special hotel and restaurant. To maximize available space, they added cozy seating areas and soft lighting details to the leafy hotel courtyard and restaurant.

Each of the beautifully maintained 12 rooms offers contemporary comfort and amenities in this unique European/Lanna style. The adjacent Charcoa Bakery and Restaurant is locally renowned for its large menu of delicious international meals, tasty Thai specialties and scrumptious home-made bakery items.

Superior Room

Superior rooms are located on the upstairs floor and offer the same standard amenities and design touches of the larger rooms. Provided with comfy European-style reading chair or small wooden desk, these cozy guestrooms give you superior comfort at a reasonable price.

Deluxe Room

The spacious Deluxe rooms are located on the ground floor. Along with the standard amenities and design touches, this room category includes an adjoining seating area for reading, watching TV or just relaxing.

Pantry Suite

The Pantry Suite is a large split-level space located on the upper floor of the hotel. It includes all the standard amenities as well as a microwave, kitchen sink, iron and ironing board. The downstairs level has a comfortable living area and small cooking nook. Climb the wrought iron and wood stairs to reach the balcony and spacious, high-ceiling sleeping loft.

Honeymoon Suite

The Honeymoon Suite is an intimate split-level space located on the upper floor of the hotel. It includes all the standard amenities as well as a hot water boiler/warmer, iron and ironing board. Directions to Charcoa House & Cozy Hotel

By Air:
Domestic airlines (Thai Airways International, Bangkok Airways, Air Asia, Orient Thai Airlines and Nok Air ) operate several daily flights between Bangkok and Chiang Mai. A one-way flight takes about one hour.

By Bus:
Several ordinary and air-conditioned buses leaving daily from Bangkok's Northern Bus Terminal (also known as Mo Chit) on Kamphaeng Phet 2 Road.

By Train:
Express and rapid trains leave for Chiang Mai from Hualamphong Station several times daily and the trip takes about 11-12 hours for express trains. It is highly recommended to reserve seats well in advance, especially for sleepers.
