ESIBAYENI pronounced "esee-bi-yeni" (meaning, the "Kraal" / "Cattle Byre")is the only family run facility in the whole of Swaziland, built on land that has been in the family since 1893

Esibayeni Lodge opened for business in December 2000, with only a massive thatched dining hall and kitchen, and now boasts 200 Rooms, 13 Conference Rooms, 27 Self Catering Chalets.

Set in picturesque surroundings with lush, perfectly groomed gardens, Esibayeni Lodge offers a stunning array of accommodation in Swaziland like no other. With a choice of Bed and Breakfast en-suite rooms, thatched self catering cottages and a VIP or Honeymoon suite, Esibayeni Lodge ensures superb delivery of service and hospitality. The enormous thatched roof of this ethnic lodge stands out in its beautiful surroundings and is centrally situated with easy access to most local arts and craft markets as well as the main cities and towns of Swaziland

Accommodation

We have a wide variety of accommodation to choose from. All are comfortably furnished with en-suite bathrooms, aircon and TV to make you feel right at home with us.

Set in park-like gardens and with the very wide choice of 200 en-suite rooms, 28 thatched one and two bedroomed self-catering chalets with TV (and more to come soon) and Backpackers Accommodation with 44 beds for Gents and 44 beds for Ladies (separate) with in-house ablution facilities, Esibayeni Lodge offers accommodation in Matsapha that is tasteful, economical and hard to beat!

Rooms

200 en-suite rooms with TV and air con. 90% of the rooms are twin bedded to accommodate 2 persons sharing. This is most suitable for Resident Conferencing as it provides adequate space and is ideal cost saving for those looking to cut costs They are comfortably furnished with en-suite showers and toilet. The rooms are large spacious air conditioned en-suite rooms with TV and a shower

Rooms with 1 double bed & Rooms with 2 comfortable 3/4 beds.

Backpackers Dormitories

Esibayeni Lodge offers the ideal budget, yet up-market accommodation for travellers and backpackers travelling through Swaziland.

Backpackers accommodation with :
44 beds for gents and 44 beds for ladies in separate sparkling clean Dormitories with in-house ablution facilities.

Esibayeni has become a landmark in entertainment since it opened and has become a hot spot in Swaziland for musical variety and hosted events. Fridays and Saturday nights, Esibayeni hosts a VIP Bar Area and VIP Lounge, music by Local Djs, Snooker Tables anda choice of 2 bars . Come and enjoy the fun at no extra charge. Our restaurant serves an A- L-carte menu as well as light meal menu. All the required conference equipment is available, in a choice of 13 Conference Rooms, ranging in sizes of 15 pax up to 2000 pax cinema configuration

Our services include tea and coffee, lunch, and also, conference after-parties.

Restaurants

Esibayeni Lodge boasts three restaurants which serve some of the best meals in the Kingdom of Swaziland.

The Main Restaurant - indoors
The main restaurant caters for large groups of people who come for conferences, weddings and other events for large crowd of people.

From the main entrance, the reception desk and cocktail bar leads directly into the large restaurant, where we serve a variety of delicious meals from our A-La-Carte menu, or light snacks and drinks. Our superior services and helpful waiters will make you feel welcome and special. Esibayeni Lodge is the ideal location for your special occasion or function. The large dining area extends itself to the fully equipped conference facility.

Imfihlo Restaurant - (indoor)
Imfihlo Restaurant is ideal for people who enjoy a quiet, relaxed meal.
This restaurant is ideal for privacy and has most of the tables designed in a cubic style.

Breakfast
Breakfast is served at any of the three restaurants, depending on the number of people and the weather. It is normally served on Monday to Saturday between 7.00 am and 9.00 am and between 7.00 am and 09.30 am on Sundays.

Lunch
Full menu , served from 12 - 2.30 p.m

Dinner
Full menu , served from 6.00 - 9.30 p.m

Shonalanga Bar & Restaurant
Full bar services and dining
Can also be used for private functions - on request.
