Welcome to Ndzalama Lodge

Ndzalama is a private wildlife reserve located in the Letaba basin near the Kruger National Park in the Limpopo valley of South Africa. The Lodge consists of six luxurious stone and thatch chalets build amongst boulders characteristic to the area. Ndzalama meaning “sacred rocks”. We offer 3 gourmet meals prepared
daily at the main building.

A rock pool rounds off the unique ambience lo let guests experience the rich history of Ndzalama. The reserve has rich and diverse plant and bird species and soon to have the big 5. The resident elephant herd compliments the roars of the lions which give guests the genuine African
experience.

The Lodge is powered by a generator, far away in the distance, not disturbing the abience to give you the true African Bush experience. Apart from the 300 different bird and 200 different plant species, Ndzalama offers you the ultimate experience of exclusivity.

You and your family or friends may very well be the only tourists in the reserve of 10 000 ha and will have the real bush experience as it was hundreds of years ago. The resident elephant herd forms the centre of the Ndzalama conservation project.

Directions to Ndzalama Lodge

From Polokwane:
Take the R71 past Tzaneen, ± 29 km outside Tzaneen (still on the R71) turn Left on the Eiland road, drive ± 16 km and turn Right on the Rubbervale dirt road, drive ± 4 km and find our gate on the left.
From Graskop/Pilgrim's rest:
Take the R36 to Ohrigstad. From Ohrigstad still on R36 through the Strijdom tunnel, Stay on R36 towards Letsitele. Through Letsitele (very small town) turn right at T-junction on R71 towards Phalaborwa/Gravelotte. First road Left (towards Eiland) drive ± 16 km and turn Right on the Rubbervale dirt road, drive ± 4 km and find our gate on the left.
From Phalaborwa:
Take the R71 towards Gravelotte/Tzaneen. Go through Gravelotte (a very small town). Turn Right at the T-junction (still the R71) towards Tzaneen. Drive ± 8.8 km and turn Right on a gravel road (towards Eiland). Drive ± 11 km (stay left) and our gate is on the right.
From Hoedspruit:
Take the R40 / Klaserie Road towards Gravelotte/Tzaneen for ±32 km.Turn Left onto the R526. Drivealong the R526 for ± 31km. Continue onto the R40until you reach Gravelotte.Go through Gravelotte (a very small town).Turn Right at the T-junction (still the R71) towards Tzaneen. Drive ± 8.8 km and turn Right on a gravel road (towards Eiland). Drive ± 11 km (stay left) and our gate is on the right.
