Pristine country air and rolling hills, luxurious accommodation in Nottingham Road, the most advanced spa facilities, enhanced by the ambiance of a converted 1860s farmyard, dairy and highly personalized service. Therapists to nurture and pamper, uniquely African treatments and products made from Zulu traditional healing plants grown in our indigenous garden.

Fordoun Hotel, located in Nottingham Road, the Midlands comprises twenty two luxurious, individually appointed suites with 3 categories of accommodation. Luxury Suites, Deluxe Dam Facing Suites and Superior Mountain View Suites.

Our luxury rooms have king-size bed, bathroom with bath and shower, under floor heating in the bathroom and bed rooms, tea/coffee making facilities and mini bar area. All rooms have a TV and DVD player. There is also a double suite with wheelchair access and specially adapted bathroom.

Despite its luxurious atmosphere, and emphasis on quality, Fordoun’s rates are surprisingly competitive in relation to similar hydros. These 3 deluxe suites have a view of our lawns and dam. These are our new rooms which are individual units with majestic views of the Drakensberg.

Skye Bistro Restaurant

Skye Bistro is a fine dining restaurant set in the heart of the exquisite Kwa-Zulu-Natal midlands. From beautiful log burning fires in the winter evenings to watching the sun set from the veranda over the rolling lawns of Fordoun; Skye Bistro is the perfect place to have a relaxing sumptuous meal.

From farm style breakfasts, lighter café style lunches to delicious dinners, Skye bistro captures the leisure of a bygone era. For the more health conscious to those seeking more decadent treats, we cater to all needs.
At Skye Bistro we use only the freshest, mostly local produce available.

Conference Venue

The Fordoun conference centre in Nottingham Road is situated in the heart of the exquisite KwaZulu-Natal Midlands yet conveniently accessed from the N3 highway that links Johannesburg and Durban. The conference centre caters for up to forty delegates, with quality equipment on hand and all the resources and facilities of the Fordoun Spa and Skye Restaurant nearby.
