The garden, with spectacular views over the whole valley features an open-air shower and secluded niches for meditation. Guests may roam freely among a wide variety of birds and wild life living in a range of habitats from riverine valleys to ancient woodlands.

The wild life population consists of rhino, giraffe, kudu, wildebeest, zebra, impala, grey and red duikers, bushbuck, mountain rhebuck, klipspringer, warthogs, bush-pigs and all the many smaller animals and carnivores, including monkeys and baboons. There is also a large and varied bird life, including forest and open veldt species.

The labyrinth provides the sacred space where the inner and outer worlds can commune, where the thinking mind and imaginative heart can flow together. It can provide a space to listen to the inner voice of wisdom and come to grips with our role in humankind’s next evolutionary step.

Accommodation at Boondocks Mountain Lodge

It consists of separate cottages. The accommodation at Boondocks is unique and designed with intriguing features and natural finishes including hardwoods copper, brass, stone and thatch. Nestling in the landscape as if they organically emerged, every cottage has its own individual charm. The rooms are named after indigenous trees and feature artwork by acclaimed New Zealand artist Hannah Jensen.

The lodge consists of 5 double and one single room, all en-suite and to four star lodge standards. The rooms at the lodge are separate and private, many with their own balcony or veranda. The Mountain Lodge is also available for self-catering groups who have a tranquil and peaceful breakaway in mind.

There is one unit which consists of three double en-suite rooms and a fully equipped kitchen. It features a sit-in pool, a fire pit or braai area and a huge veranda. The main lodge can accommodate up to ten people in five double en-suite bedrooms and a large luxury, fully equipped kitchen. It includes a lounge, dining area and braai area.

Functions
Boondocks is the perfect setting for gathering together friends, family and loved ones, whether it is a family gathering, a special occasion to mark an anniversary or birthday.

Weddings
Boondocks is a truly magical place for a wedding or indeed any type of ceremony. There are two choices, either to employ the services of experts for all aspects of the event or to distribute it among the various family members and friends which allows for an affordable and fun experience.
