Four spacious, luxury self-catering apartments and a garden cottage set in an historic manor house near Sea Point in Cape Town, just minutes from the beaches of Camps Bay and Clifton, the V&A Waterfront and the city centre.

This gracious, four star turn-of-the-century establishment lies just off the hustle and bustle of Sea Point’s Main Road in one of the quiet suburban streets of Fresnaye, in Cape Town.

Despite the owner’s scrupulous attention to the historic aspects of the house, Barry Hall is a contemporary and modern rendition of the period home.
The furnishings and décor have a distinctly retro/Scandinavian influence and there is a minimalist touch emphasised by the addition of several large windows to allow the maximum amount of light into the home.

Apartment no 1
Set on the ground floor, just off the main hallway, this spacious 3-bedroom apartment is ideal for a large family or travel group.
The apartment includes:
- 3 bedrooms – sleeping 6
- 1 large, fully equipped kitchen
- 3 bathrooms, 1 en suite
- airy lounge
- adjoining balcony
- direct access to garden

The Bedrooms:
The bedrooms are all a generous size and discerningly furnished with crisp, white cotton bedding.
The self-catering apartment has wooden floors throughout, and the 2nd bedroom is particularly romantic with its own ornamental fireplace. Towelling gowns are provided for those bedrooms without en suite bathrooms.

1st Bedroom
king size bed - extra length with crisp, white cotton bedding and juicy hints of pink and red. En suite shower and toilet
2nd Bedroom
Romantic, large room with king size bed - extra length; crisp, white cotton bedding, shades of green, desk and ornamental fireplace. Adjoining bathroom with bath, toilet and towelling gowns
3rd Bedroom
Queen size bed, crisp white cotton bedding, hints of Africa and a separate shower room and towelling gowns.

Modern, fully equipped with plenty of space – perfect for extreme cook-ins; includes a large fridge, hob, microwave oven, oven, dishwasher, and dining for 6; has direct access to the intimate back garden.

The spacious entrance hall, with its own large window and Persian rug, steps down into the lounge. Set in its own little alcove is a foldout sleeper couch for 1 extra person.

A rustic, modern finish with slate tiles and face brick walls, this large bathroom includes a bath, handheld shower, toilet and hand basin.

Lounge / dining room
Originally two rooms, this large, sunny and beautifully decorated room is the hub of the apartment. Large windows allow natural light to cast rays onto the original wooden floors. There is dining space for 8, an original ornamental fireplace and beautiful views of the front garden.

Set on the first floor, this large and very spacious 2-bedroom apartment is ideal for a honeymoon couple, two couples or a family of four.

Set at the back of the house, in the reaches of the intimate garden, the cosy, ivy-clad cottage is ideal for the lone business or leisure traveller or a couple.

1 bedroom – comfortably sleeping 2 with a queen size bed and crisp, white cotton bedding. There is a lounge / kitchen / dinette – open plan living, comfortably laid out with easy access to the kitchen with a microwave and hob and dining space for 2.

It is also readily equipped for relaxation and barbecues with beautiful vines cleverly trained over a wooden pergola to provide shade for the patio.

How To Get To Barry Hall Luxury Apartments

To get there from the airport:
Take the N2 into Cape Town. At Groote Schuur Hospital (on your right) make sure you are in the right-hand lanes as the road splits a little further up
Follow signs to the city centre and V&A Waterfront, take the Strand Street turnoff (left-hand turn). Continue straight along Strand Street, past the main city station and cross Adderley Street, St Georges Street and Buitengracht Street
Strand Street then becomes High Level Road.

Stay on this road for a further 4 km Turn right into St Johns Road (Highstead Manor Hotel is on the right-hand corner).
Turn sharp left at the first set of traffic lights, into Main Road, Sea Point, first left into Irwinton Road. Barry Hall is no 6 - the 1st large building on the right-hand side after parking area.
