La Ferme located between Paarl and Franschhoek on the R301 in the Western Cape. Surrounded by majestic mountains and four trout dams, La Ferme also borders the Limietberg Nature Reserve which offers superb mountain biking and hiking. Thatch Cottage
Upstairs there is a queen bedroom plus deck with awesome views but please
take caution of steep stairs.Downstairs there is a sleeper couch, lounge,
kitchenette, bath, toilet and a wash basin inside. There is a hot water
shower outside, undercover deck with a braai, table and chairs outside.
The cottage is equipped with electric blankets and hot water bottles for
winter and there is no fireplace inside.
We supply bath towels and linen. There is an outside patio set with braai
facilities, fridge / freezer, 4 plate stove, microwave oven, regret no
conventional oven, fully air conditioned, DSTV and two decks.
Wood is available at R25 per bundle and R50 per basket. Cottage / Braai Clean - on request at R50 per clean. Please put out the black bin bags in the mornings only and the cleaners will take it away and supply a replacement bag. Matrassess, Pets and smoking inside the cottages are all prohibited.
Plum Cottage
There is a queen size bedroom, 1 double bedroom and 2 single bunk beds
in the open plan living room. The bathroom has a shower, toilet and a
wash basin.
There are stairs leading onto the undercover deck, spectacular views of
the dams, vineyards and mountains. The cottage is equipped with electric
blankets, hot water bottles for winter and there is no fireplace inside.

Forest Cottage
There is a queen bedroom and a double room, a bathroom with a shower,
toilet, wash basin, kitchen and a lounge / dining area all downstairs.
Upstairs there are 2 single beds but please caution of steep stairs to
the attic room.
The cottage is child friendly, stunning forest views, it is equipped with
electric blankets, hot water bottles for winter and there is no fireplace
inside.

Camping
Camping is available on other side of the river. Bring your own camping
gear. We offer great ambiance, brilliant star gazing and big bonfire -
wood not included. R250 per bakkie load. Outdoor toilets, cold showers
are available and there are a few electrical points.
NOTE:
Guests are advised to please their own insect repellents, bath soap, toiletries,
swimming towels, tea / coffee / sugar, salt, pepper, hairdryer and food.

How To Get To La Ferme 
From N1 Highway:
Take exit 59 (Wellington / Jan van Riebeek), at exit turn right under
the highway and drive 13kms.
See La Ferme Sign on left hand side. Turn into sand road and drive 1.5km.
to La Ferme gate.
From Airport:
Drive north on N2 highway north to Somerset West, take R300 exit to Brackenfell
/ Blue Downs, drive until road indicates directions to Paarl, follow directions
to Paarl on N1 highway and continue as above.
From Stellenbosch:
Find R44 through Stellenbosch to Helshoogte Mountain pass. Drive
through Helshoogte Mountain Pass R310 until the village of Pniel continue
on R310 until T-Junction, turn right at T-Junction onto R45, drive until
Berg River bridge.
After the bridge turn left onto R301, drive 3kms, over Wemmerhoek river
bridge, see La Ferme sign on RHS, turn right into sand road, drive 1.5kms
to gate.
