The balconies comfortably seat four people around a dinner table and overlook our lush two hectare garden. The property is protected by tall green trees and from your balcony you will have a stunning view of the Table Mountain Range. Enjoy the View from Your Spacious Balcony
The suites are furnished with a clean-cut and modern style. The room on the ground floor has a black and white theme. For the honeymoon suite on the first floor we chose a more bold pink and black design.

Luxury Family Suites
Our family suites are spacious 45 m² rooms that open towards the entrance area with a Juliet balcony. The rooms are furnished with king size extra-length beds and a pull-out sleeping couch for the kids. The large en suite bathrooms are furnished with a bath and shower. Other amenities include:

Children Will Enjoy Our Swimming Pool and Jungle Gym
Children are very welcome at our guest house. The kids will particularly enjoy our large garden. The two acre area has more than enough space to run and play.
Our swimming pool and jungle gym are sure to keep the young and energetic entertained. All measures have been taken to make the property safe for even little children, so that the parents can relax and enjoy our beautiful guesthouse.

The Garden Rooms Are Ideal for Couples or Business Travellers
The terrace area looks down into our spacious two acre garden and has a friendly and social vibe during the main season. All our rooms are non-smoking and are serviced diligently by our dedicated staff.
Our facilities include an internet connection and basic cooking facilities for all our guests and wireless internet is available throughout the premises.

Our rooms are serviced daily with an outstanding standard of cleanliness. The guest house is designed to always give you a sense of space and freedom.
Especially the 2-acre garden sloping down from the terrace gives our guests more than enough room to unwind and relax. Protected by large trees our garden offers a large pool area, a tennis court and a play-den.

Our lavish breakfast buffet is the perfect start for your day. Choose from a selection of bread, cheese and meat from Raith Gourmet, the authentic German Deli in Cape Town. We also have a selection of cereals, yoghurt and fruit salad and of course coffee.
On request our kitchen staff prepares delicious eggs to satisfy your breakfast cravings.
Meet other guests on the sunny terrace overlooking the garden or relax on spacious leather couches in the lounge area and get news from around the world on our satellite TV.

Things to do in Constantia
The lush suburb of Constantia is home to Cape Town’s very own wine route. Visit South Africa’s oldest wine estates and dine in world renowned restaurants such as La Colombe and Buitenverwachting. Your shopping can easily be done at the Constantia Village shopping mall.

For outdoor enthusiasts Constantia and surrounds offer a huge variety of activities. Relax during a game of golf at the renowned greens of Steenberg or Westlake. You will find excellent trails for mountain biking and hiking in Tokai Forest and in the Silvermine Nature Reserve.
Constantia also has a number of horse riding stables and the beaches of the Cape Peninsula are only a short drive away.

How To Get To Southern Light Country House

From Cape Town International Airport:
Travel on the N2 Highway towards Cape Town, take the turnoff to Muizenberg, M3 to the left. Continue along the M3 (Edinburgh Drive) past the suburbs of Claremont, Bishops Court and Wynberg
Take Exit 14 off the M3 (Constantia / Hout Bay), turn left at the intersection traveling under the bridge and at the first set of traffic lights turn right into Alphen Road.
Continue along Alphen road, keep to your left where the road splits into Hohenort Avenue past the Cellars Hohenort Hotel. Another 500m to your right no 24 Hohenort Avenue.
