Southdown Cottage Accommodation
Southdown Cottage is a substantial lodging offering two large bedrooms,
each with the option of king sized or twin beds. The upstairs bedroom
has an en-suite dressing room with ample cupboards including a small safe,
also an en-suite bathroom.
There is a separate guest bathroom with a toilet and shower, the downstairs
bedroom is very commodious and gives access to the adjacent rose garden.
The large kitchen is fully equipped, including full laundry facilities
and the separate lounge / dining room is similarly spacious, sufficiently
comfortable and tastefully appointed to encourage the entertainment of
your guests.
This area opens onto a wide north facing covered patio and adjacent private
garden, including barbecue facilities, -providing a warm sun trap for
all seasons which has become a favourite with our overseas visitors, especially
for lingering over morning coffee or sundowners.

How To Get To Southdown Cottage
From the Cape Town airport, take the N2 towards Cape Town. Approaching
the mountain, keep in the left hand lane and take the left feed-off onto
the M3, heading towards Muizenberg.
At the first set of traffic lights (intersection of Paradise Road and
Rhodes Ave) turn right into Rhodes Ave , which will lead you past Kirstenbosch
Gardens (on right) to a T junction where you turn right, continuing along
Rhodes Drive towards Constantia Nek, (mountain on your right).
Before reaching Constantia Nek, turn left into Southern Cross Drive (well
indicated), then first left into Dawn Ave. “Southdown Cottage”
is located at no 4 Dawn Ave, (“Southdown”) , the second property
on your right.
