Directions to The Alternative

By Air
El Nido is a municipality in Northern Palawan. The town itself is part of mainland Palawan but note that Palawan is a large province. You can take a direct flight from Manila to El Nido wich is approximately 55 minutes using a 50-seater ATR aircraft. This charter plane option is available only from the private airport owned by El Nido Resort which is expensive. Second option, is to take a flight from Manila or Cebu going to Puerto Princesa which is approximately 1 hour. Arriving from Puerto Princesa you can take a private van or go to San Jose Bus Terminal and ride a bus. It takes 5 minutes via Serena St. from El Nido Town.

By Land
Arriving at Puerto Princesa Airport you can sign up for a van right upon your arrival. Just check from desk of operator there. If you are staying for a night in Puerto Princesa you can sign up for a private van via hotels and It would be an easy four to five hour ride from Puerto Princesa to El Nido with no stops along the way unlike the bus. If you want a cheaper transportation you can take a bus from San Jose Bus Terminal. It would be a long 6 hours drive going to El Nido.

By Sea
The El Nido Port from Buena Swerte services a number of ferry line from Manila, Busuanga, Coron route which is approximately 30 hours.
