Payag is a local language for a small nipa hut. It is a traditional small house made of simple materials such as bamboo, woven nipa or coconut leaves, sticks and wood. Payag Beach House Resort is located right on the beach of Santiago Bay, the resort is quite small and consists of a number of rooms some with air con and some without, some suitable for 2 people as well as having some family rooms in an annexed building. Has a small restaurant serving mainly Pinoy dishes. One for someone looking for simple basic accommodation in Camotes.

Payag resort has a small and simple restaurant that serves mainly local Filipino dishes. Surely, they serve fresh catch fishes, sea foods, and some farm products. The good thing about this island is that it’s not polluted and farmers do not overuse chemicals to produce their farm products.

Directions to Payag Beach House Resort

If you are from the City, go to North Bus Terminal and ride on a bus or a jeepney that goes towards Northern part of Cebu. From the airport, just align in any part of Mandaue City and ride a jeepney or a bus going to the North. Ask drivers to drop you off at DANAO CITY PORT or commonly known as pantalan. Then, buy yourself a Barge Ticket. The travel time is 2 hours, once you arrive in Camotes Port, ride on a motorcycle or a jeepney and ask drivers to bring you to Payag Resort. If you have an advance transportation reservation, just wait for your service.
