Situated 3 kilometers away from the south of El Nido, this property is in Palawan providing a wealth of opportunities to experience wildlife observation and sightings. Boasting five well sappointed cottages, all are tastefully furnished and equipped with modern amenities to ensure guests pleasant stay. Recently built, the cottages offer sweeping views of the beach and cove. Enjoy a wide variety of delicious meals at the onsite restaurant whilst admiring the sound of waves gently lapping at the beach. Cottage 2 and 3 These beachfront rooms are in a duplex unit, each room being large enough to fit an additional double bed. There is an adjoining door on the balcony which can be kept open for families or groups using both sides of the duplex. Both rooms are sound insulated from each other. These two units have large balconies which are not in view of each other. They also have a large washroom. There is one solar powered electric fan in each of these rooms. If an additional bed is used, it will not be close to the electric fan.
Cottage 1 and 4 These single detached units contain one double bed and can fit an additional single bed. There is one solar powered electric fan in each of these cottages. If an additional bed is used, it will not be close to the electric fan.

Cottage 5 This garden view cottage has two bedrooms and a living room. Each bedroom has one double bed and one solar powered electric fan. The living room can fit a double bed but this room has no electric fan.
Cottage 6 This beachfront unit is located just beside the main compound about 15m from the main gate and has one double bed. It can fit an additional double bed and single bed. There is only one solar powered electric fan in the room.
Room 7 We have an apartment located on the ground floor of our residence. This apartment is spacious and has a private entrance, private washroom, electric fan but no special view or balcony.

Main Activities

Island Hopping A private boat with driver and guide for 1-2 peopleThe boat departs Las Cabanas around 9:30am and returns no later than 5:00pm. Maximum of four stops.
Kayaking A two person kayak for 4 hours and 8 hours.
Snorkeling There are two small house reefs just offshore of Las Cabanas. A mask with snorkel costs P250 per day. Fins cost P250.

Hiking A guided trip to the view point overlooking El Nido town including transportation. A guided hike to the water falls located about 45 minutes from El Nido town including transportation.
Bottom Fishing Includes boat, guide and hand held fishing line. The best time for bottom fishing is early morning.
Diving Can be arranged through a reputable dive shop in El Nido town. The dive operator can provide boat pick up at Las Cabanas, equipment fitting is usually done at the dive shop on the day before the dive.. Guests deal directly with the dive center for details and payments.

Directions to Las Cabanas Resort

Due to the difficulties in getting advance flight bookings from Manila to El Nido, the vast majority of our guests are flying into Puerto Princesa then taking the land route from Puerto Princesa to El Nido. There are a number of daily air con shuttle vans and buses traveling between Puerto Princesa and El Nido. The drive takes approx 6 hours by van and approx 7-8 hours by bus. The bus has more leg room with more comfortable seats but it stops frequently on the way to pick up and drop off passengers.

Shuttle Van (air con): Savior, Fortwally and Lexus are three of the companies providing this service. Pre booking is advised. Cost is P600 per person one way. We can help you book with Fortwally which has their office located around 1 km from the Puerto Princesa airport. Fortwally vans going to El Nido depart from their office at 7am, 11am, 1:30pm and 6:30pm. Tall travelers may want to take Rorobus which has more leg room. Note that Fortwally shuttle van times departing El Nido for Puerto Princes are at 5am, 7am, 9am, 1pm.

Bus (air con): The recently established Rororo bus company has modern air con buses departing El Nido and Puerto Princesa at 6am, 10pm, 2pm, 6pm and 10pm. Cost is P490 per person one way. They also have non air con buses at other times for budget travelers. Booking office phone number is 09189393097 or 09274600226. Rororo Bus terminal in Puerto Princesa is located at the San Jose Terminal 20-30 minutes tricycle ride from the airport with the tricycle costing around P300.

Private Van: Another option for land travel from Puerto Princes to El Nido is by private van. The cost of a private van is around P8,000 one way for 2-4 persons (the price may increase for larger groups). We can help you pre-book this option including airport pickup.
