The first two cottages of Fridays Boracay were built in 1982. The name “Friday’s” comes from the story of Robinson Crusoe who was shipwrecked on a lost island. He was surprised to meet a native young man whom he named Friday. The young man became his constant companion and assistant. Friday’s Boracay is a Department of Tourism AAA accredited self-contained 48-room resort with a freshwater swimming pool, beach front bar and a 120-seat capacity restaurant considered by many to be the finest in the island.

The resort rests at the northern end of Boracay Island, the finest part of the four-kilometer powdery white-sand beach which makes the island famous. Boracay Island is located at the northern tip of Panay Island, Aklan Province, in the Visayan region of the Philippines, approximately 300 km. south of Manila.

Directions to Friday's Boracay

The most convenient way to reach Boracay is via Caticlan Airport (Paliparang Godofredo Ramos). From Manila you may take: Seair which departs from NAIA Domestic Terminal 1; Air Philippines and Cebu Pacific leave from NAIA Terminal 3 or Philippine Airlines from NAIA Terminal 2 to reach Caticlan, Aklan.

An alternative route is to fly to the Kalibo International Airport. Philippine Airlines (takes off from NAIA Terminal 2 or Centennial Terminal); Air Philippines, PAL Express or Cebu Pacific (these 3 airlines take off from the NAIA Terminal 3) or Zest Air (takes off from NAIA Terminal 1) have daily flights from Manila to Kalibo, Aklan. Once you land in Kalibo you must take an estimated 1.5 hour air-conditioned bus or private van to the welcome center.
Upon arrival, a Fridays' Transfer Officer will greet you at the airport and escort you to the Fairways Private Welcome Center, a short trip of 200 meters. Our outrigger boat "bangka" then takes you on a 4 minute boat ride to the Cagban port where our van will transport you to the resort.

Dependent on weather conditions, alternative routes may be used as specified by the Philippine Coast Guard, DO wear clothes and footwear which will allow you to wade in the water from the beach to the boat or jetty port or vice-versa in case this is necessary. for eg: Tabon port to Fairways port at the back of the island, where a Fridays van will wait for you and bring you to our resort.
