Busuanga Island Paradise

Coron is a small fishing village located southeast of the island of Busuanga, Palawan and opposite the island of Coron, the ancestral homeland of the Tagbanuas. It is part of the Calamianes Group of Islands and located southwest of Mindoro Island, Philippines. On September 24, 1944 this island was a witness to the US Navy’s aerial bombardment of the Japanese cargo and support vessels, seeking shelter in its turquoise waters.

These have now become a sanctuary for a variety of marine creatures that call these wrecks their home. We are located in a 3 hectare property in Barangay Sta. Monica, 10 minutes west of Coron town and 30 minutes from the Busuanga Airport, a perfect get a way for those wanting to leave it all behind. Wake up to the sound of Dimanyan River, a stone's throw away from your room. Enjoy the view of the forest and the surrounding hills and hear the birds sing while enjoying your breakfast at the veranda.

Activities

Island Hopping Take a banca, a native outrigger boat and go around Coron Island and discover its numerous beaches, coves, lakes and lagoons. Visit the picturesque Cayangan Lake with its limestone cliffs and clear waters, snorkel around Twin Rocks and Siete Pecados, enjoy the many beaches of the island and cap the day by taking a hot water dip in Maquinit Springs. One may also take the boat to Sangat Island and enjoy the Coral Garden, Lusong Wreck and East Tangat Wreck and beach with only your snorkeling gear. The more patient ones can relax at the beach while waiting for the monkeys and kingfishers to make their appearance.
Islands include Calumbuyan Island, Culion, Malcapuya Island, Black Island, etc.

Diving Scuba dive and explore the World War II Japanese Wrecks, there are the “Big Six” Wrecks that one must explore. Dive the geothermal waters of Barracuda Lake, and if weather permits, be captivated by the Cathedral located on the east coast of Coron Island.Scuba diving lessons and Discover Scuba Diving are likewise offered.
Calauit Island Take the whole day and enjoy Calauit Island, see zebras, antelopes, impalas, gazelles, elands, giraffes, monkeys, exotic birds and other wildlife in a natural environment. Established by the late Pres. Ferdinand E. Marcos, this wildlife sanctuary has modest accommodations for the more adventurous travelers.

Mountain Biking Enjoy the wonders of Busuanga by riding around the island with your mountain bike. Stop at the beaches for a quick dip or explore the numerous trails that lead to mangrove forests and rivers.
Hikingor Treking Enjoy a commanding view of the island, Coron Bay and Maricaban Bay, when you join the guided tour of Mt. Tundalara, the highest point in Busuanga. This normally takes the whole day and may be strenuous and hot for weekend warriors.

Directions to Busuanga Island Paradise

By Air

If you are joining us from Coron, look for a flight to Busuanga Airport (Coron). There are regular flights (3 to 4 times a day) with Cebu Pacific or PAL Express. From Busuanga airport it's a 40 minute transfer ride to Coron town. There are shuttle vans operating outside the terminal that cost around P150.00 PHP per person. Our Office in Coron is in Don Pedro St. Centre of town. It’s easy to find us, just ask the drivers for directions.

By boat
Ferry to Coron, Palawan via some shipping lines from Manila pier is approximmately 12 hours. Upon reaching the Coron Port, you will ride a tricycle to Coron Town Pier where boat are waiting for you. In downtown go to the pier where there area a number of boats you can hire to go to the resort or if you do have reservations from the hotel respectively. It will be a 10 minute boat ride goint to the resort.
