The Bohol South Beach Hotel was built in Summer 2012 with a goal of bringing the tropical style and buzz of Miami to the island of Bohol. A three story structure, it is designed, built and outfitted to the highest standards. Modern and tropical, it is the perfect place for your getaway.

The hotel has year round fabulous, warm weather. Guests can swim in the warm waters of the Pacific, or relax poolside by our Infinity Pool. Our rooftop bar provides the best vantage point to watch the comings and goings on Danao Beach, to catch the earliest rays at Sunrise, or the waning day at Sunset.

The hotel is located a short distance from the Panglao Strip (Alona Beach), where you can indulge the evening in the restaurants and clubs, before escaping to the quiet and comfort of Bohol South Beach. The hotel is just minutes by pumpboat from several world-class Scuba diving sites. Tours to those sites can be arranged by the Hotel Concierge. The hotel shuttle can pick guests up from any arrival point, whether airport, ferry port or pumpboat.

Accomodation

First Floor- deluxe rooms have a gorgeous view of the ocean. Each room opens onto a verandah adjacent to the Infinity Pool. Each room has a floating bed, with remote control under bed soft illumination. Standard occupancy for these rooms is two adults. Two more adults or children can also stay in the room on an air mattress for a small extra fee.

Deluxe Suite- Second floor deluxe suites provide beautiful ocean views from en elevated vantage point. Each room has a floating bed, with remote control under bed soft illumination. Standard occupancy for these rooms is four adults. Four more adults or children can also stay in the suite on air mattresses for a small extra fee.

Services

Bohol South Beach has a number of cool amenities, including our Infinity Pool, Rooftop Deck, Dining area (Bar and Cafe) and Poolside Tiki Bar. We have three bars; one Pool side, one in the Dining area and one on the Rooftop Deck. Our wonderful restaurant meals are also available via Room service. We have a number of bicycles available for guest use for free, and a motorcycle which can be rented for a small sum daily.

Infinity Pool-the Infinity Pool is 4 metres wide, 12 metres long and ranges from a depth of 1 metre at the shallow end to 2 metres at the deep end. It is a replica of the pool at the Madrid home of Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo. It has a unique design in that the recirculation and filtration systems are located underground to preserve the serenity of the location and the guests.

Rooftop Deck- the hotels rooftop provides the perfect location from which to scan the horizon for ship traffic, watch the fishermen's and trader's pumpboats motoring back and forth, observe the nearby offshore islands, people watch on the beach below, while you listen to the rustling of the warm wind in the nearby coconut trees. The rooftop has a bar and outdoor dining facilities, with ample shade, for you to enjoy and while away the hours. We have also held special events, including wedding receptions and salsa dance nights, on the rooftop deck.

Dining- the hotel has a full service kitchen and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. We have dining facilities on the 3rd floor and on the Rooftop Deck. We also provide Room Service Menus consist of traditional Filipino fare and standard North American and European fare.

Ultra Lounge- relax with a tropical drink and listen to the beat in our Ultra Lounge on the 3rd floor of the hotel. The lounge has a flat screen TV so you can watch sporting or other events back home that you don't want to miss. Destinations

There are many varied and interesting places to visit nearby, from the world renowned diving sites at Balicasag and Virgin Island, the former of which is visible from the Hotels Rooftoop Deck, to the spectacular Chocolate Hills of Bohol. A pumpboat can be arranged to depart directly from the hotel shorefront, for island hopping or other off island destinations or activities.

Balicasag Island- this beautiful, unspoilt, tropical island is one of the best diving sites in the world, and it is world renowed for just that reason. In fact, rather than being a single dive site, it is a large reef consisting of many adjacent dive sites, any one of which would be famous in it is own right. Balisacag Island is a 20 minute pumpboat journey from the beach at the front of the hotel, trips to Balicasag Island can be arranged by the Hotel Concierge.

Virgin Island- although not as famous as Balicasag Island, Pungtud or Virgin Island is every bit as spectacular a dive site.

Danao Beach- danao is not as renowed as the more famous Alona Beach, nor is it as developed. But it has the same white sand beach, and it's shores are washed with the same warm Pacific current. Located 1.5km south west of Alona Beach, Danao Beach is the still undiscovered jewel of Bohol.

Chocolate Hills- the Chocolate Hills is an unusual geological formation in Bohol Province. There are at least 1,260 hills but there may be as many as 1,776 hills spread over an area of more than 50 square kilometres (20 sq mi). Tfhey are covered in green grass that turns brown (like chocolate) during the dry season, hence the name. The Chocolate Hills are featured in the Bohol provincial flag and seal to symbolize the abundance of natural attractions in the province.

They are in the Philippine Tourism Authority's list of tourist destinations in the Philippines; they have been declared the countrys third National Geological Monument and proposed for inclusion in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Tarsiers- are the smallest primate in the world, and they are found only in the Philippines. The Tarsier Sanctuary in Corella, Bohol is a 45 minute drive from the hotel. Visits to the Sanctuary can be arranged by the Hotel Concierge.

Directions to Bohol South Beach Resort

By Air
If you are from outside the Philippines, you can take a flight to either Manila or Cebu before taking another flight or boat ride to Bohol. Cebu is preferable to Manila since it is closer, but only a few international flights arrive there. After arriving in Manila, you can take any of the daily domestic flights to Tagbilaran City which takes about an hour and fifteen minutes. Philippine Airlines (PAL), Cebu Pacific and Air Asia offer regular flights from Manila to Tagbilaran.

By Sea
Ferries and ships are obviously slower than aircraft, but they can save you a whole lot of money. If you are in Manila, you can also take a boat ride via Superferry, which is cheaper but takes more than 24 hours to arrive in Tagbilaran City seaport. If you're in Cebu, you may choose to ride a fast catamaran ferry (also known as "fastcraft") to Tagbilaran City seaport. This usually takes about an hour and a half, and costs more or less 500 pesos. Supercat and Oceanjet are some of the operators of fastcraft trips to Bohol. If you're on a tighter budget, there are slower ferries that can take you to Bohol at less than half the price of fastcrafts, but they usually arrive in four hours.

Getting In

Cebu Airport to Tagbilaran City After getting out of the Cebu Airport, there will be a line up of taxis. The ride costs PHP200 for the trip to Pier 4. You will then have to take a ferry. All ferries take 90 minutes to get to Tagbilaran City. Schedules and fees can be found on the ferry's website.

* Note There are also planes that fly directly to Tagbilaran City Airport. There are scheduled flights from Mactan International Airport (Cebu) to Tagbilaran City, which takes about 25 minutes, while that from Ninoy Aquino International Airport (Manila) takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Tagbilaran City to Panglao Once in Tagbilaran City, you may opt to either take a taxi or a tricycle (a small motorcycle cab) to your hotel. Taxis are few in Bohol so your best choice is to flag down a tricycle. Tricycles have no meters unlike taxis so you have to inform the driver of your destination and agree on a fixed rate. As a rule of thumb, you should pay no more than 7 pesos per kilometer for every trip, regardless of the number of passengers. For routes outside the city you may choose to ride the jeepneys and multicabs.
