Experience living in your own cottage on the edge of the wonderful Walvis Bay lagoon, waking to the sound of numerous birds and flamingoes.
Enjoy walks, cycling, surfing and toast the spectacular sunsets from your veranda, while watching dolphins and seals perform.

Walvis Bay is situated approximately 30 km south from Swakopmund on the west coast of Namibia. With its unique landscape and unspoilt beauty of the mighty dunes of the Namib meeting the rich waters of the Atlantic Ocean, the area provides a revitalising escape to a wonderfully special ecology.
Walvis Bay lagoon is the largest single area of shallow sheltered water on the west coast of Southern Africa and is renowned as the home of innumerable coastal birds - 31 species including many thousands of both greater and lesser flamingos, as well as vast numbers of pelicans. Besides birdwatching, visitors can enjoy boardsailing on the lagoon, comfortable and easy walks along the 3,5km long promenade or simply relax on your own veranda or the vast lawns leading down to the water's edge.

The two self-catering cottages are fully equipped and tastefully furnished by well-known artist and owner, Trudie Dicks. Each cottage has an inside fireplace, one lock-up garage, a private garden and is situated in the lush gardens of the Flamingo Bay Cottages complex.
Excellent cuisine can be enjoyed at any of the town's numerous restaurants.
