Welcome to Zavora Lodge

Zavora Lodge is situated on one of the finest stretches of coastline in the Inhambane province. The lodge consists of a bar and restaurant, beachfront houses, bungalows and campsites.

Some campsites are on the top of the dune and the bungalows and more campsites are situated behind the dune on well-grassed shady areas. The lodge is considered a very comfortable resort.

The excellent fishing and unspoilt beauty of miles and miles of coastline and reefs is what makes Zavora Lodge a unique holiday destination. With all the above and personalized hospitality, your stay at Zavora Lodge will be a memorable one. No private quad bikes are allowed.

The location of the bar, restaurant and deck offers a magnificent view of the Zavora reef and it’s bay. Plenty of Humpback whales are sighted from the deck of the bar during June to November.

Zavora is recognized to be one of the best fishing and diving areas in Mozambique and is frequented by many avid fishermen and divers. Launching is done from the bay that is protected by a reef. This reef also creates a natural tidal pool that is excellent for snorkelling and swimming.

Occasionally Eagle and Manta Rays burst from the surface in brief flights as well as the streamlined and graceful Sailfish. Dolphins are regularly seen feeding and playing in the bay. Away from the sea, quad bike excursions to the inland lakes are an experience not to be missed.

Sea Facing Accommodation

Dorado en-suit accommodation sea facing: Dorado is hotel-style accommodation situated on top of a sand dune with a spectacular 180 degree view over Zavora Bay.

It consists of 7 double luxury en-suite rooms with a communal lounge over-looking the ocean. All rooms are equipped with bedding, mosquito nets and overhead fans. Bath towels are supplied in all the rooms. These units are serviced daily.

Sailey and Marlin – 8 sleepers Beach front houses: Sailey and Marlin are situated next to each other and just a stone throw away from the ocean, situated on top of a sand dune with a stunning view of the ocean.

Each house each consist of 4 bedrooms (2 single beds in each room), one bathroom, kitchen, open plan lounge and dining area with patio and braai area. Rooms are equipped with bedding, mosquito nets and overhead fans throughout the house. No towels are supplied. The units are serviced daily.

Manta Ray - 10 sleeper Beach front houses: Manta-Ray is self-catering and just a stone throw away from the ocean situated on top of a sand dune with a stunning view of the ocean. It consists of 3 bedrooms (1 room with a double bed and 2 rooms with 2 single beds),

2 bathrooms, kitchen, lounge and dining room area with a patio and braai area. A separate flat behind the house consists of 2 more en-suite bedrooms (2 single beds each). Rooms are equipped with bedding, mosquito nets and overhead fans throughout the house. No towels are supplied. The units are serviced daily.

Non Sea Facing Accommodation

Bungalows: Cowrie, Lula, Oyster and Mussel

Cowrie is a 6 sleeper, self-catering unit, situated behind the sand dune, well-shaded and close to the swimming pool.

It consists of 3 bedrooms (2 with 2 single beds each and 1 with a double bed), 1 bathroom, open plan kitchen and a braai area outside. Rooms are equipped with bedding and mosquito nets. No towels are supplied. The units are serviced daily.
