We offer unique style accommodations right on the river in lovely Kampot, Cambodia. A variety of bungalows ranging from dorm style lodging for the independent traveller to family style bungalows with private bathrooms. A little different than the standard guesthouse, all of our bungalows are consciously built utilizing natural materials in the traditional style using bamboo, thatch roofs, and coconut shower heads. |
Accommodation at Samon's Village
It is an isolated location surrounded by lush banana and papaya trees
creates a communal atmosphere. The central lounge area provides the perfect
setting on the river for reading, napping in the hammocks, checking emails,
or just relaxing and taking in the peaceful sounds of the river.
Restaurant
The restaurant on site is served up with authentic Khmer dishes alongside
familiar favourites. And also work with local artists and musicians to
host weekly cultural events and artistic presentations. The mission is
to share the beloved roots and to preserve the central culture of Khmer
traditions and ways of life.
Our cozy restaurant is open 6 days a week from 7:30 am to 9:00 pm. The fruits and vegetables are collected from the local market and use only fresh seafood and free-range organic meat.
The menu is built around Khmer cuisine and stresses local ingredients. Kampot is surrounded by world famous pepper plantations and you will find it visible in the regional cuisine. Dishes such as the Kampot BBQ Pepper Pork and Kampot Pepper Shrimp are used as a fresh pepper stalks to create uniquely local flavours.

Weekly Cultural Events
Once a week at Samon Village host traditional Khmer music. The traditional
songs and dances that were performed 1,000 years ago as part of Buddhist
and Hindu ceremonies. And they are rooted in wellness, creation, and performance
of the styles served as part of rituals to calm the mind and promote mental
stability for a better life.
The musical events are paired with authentic Khmer food, served buffet
style. The best that Khmer cuisine has to offer is to enjoy the sights,
sounds, and tastes of Khmer culture all in one beautiful evening.
