Batayan Island is one of the many must visit islands of the Philippines, it is located 3 1/2 hours north of Cebu City and one 90 minute ferry ride from Hagnaya port. It is grat for either a quick island getaway or a relaxing by the beach vacation.
There are only 3 towns on Bantayan island: Santta. Fe - where the ferry arrive and has the nice white beaches, , Bantayan the largest town on the island and Madredijos a fishing villag on the north end of the Bantayan island.

Getting around the island is easy there are trikes, motorbike and you can rent bicycles or motorbikes. There is also a good variety of places to eat ranging from roadside stalls to beach front restaurants and you will always find the people welcoming and friendly.
