The Merton Hotel is a locally Irish owned and run pub just 3km from Sydney city in the Balmain Rozelle area. Enjoy views of the harbour bridge and city skyline from the bar or spend a sunny afternoon relaxing in the beer garden with a glass of wine and delicious food from the bistro.

The Merton Hotel offers quality bed and breakfast accommodation just minutes from the centre of Sydney and is also a popular venue for functions. Proudly a pokie free zone, the pub offers free live music on weekend evenings where you will see some of Sydney's best musicians.

A Real Pub

The Merton Hotel was taken over at the end of 2010. The mission has been and continues to be the creation of A REAL PUB: A hotel which supports live music, offers excellent beer and wine, fabulous pub food, quality bed and breakfast accommodation close to the city and an excellent function space.

The beer garden is a great place to relax, sun filled in the afternoon and lit with wax lanterns after dark.

Beers on tap include Carlton Draught, VB, Ruby Tuesday, Pure Blonde, Tooheys New, GUINNESS, Fat Yak, Coopers Pale Ale, Peroni and Dirty Granny Cider. The Wine List is supplied by Zenith Wines, a local wine distributor.

The Merton Bistro

The Merton Bistro Dining Room seats up to 40 people. Meals are served throughout the hotel –a counter meal, a meal in the beer garden, the lounge or the dining room.

Functions at The Merton Hotel

The Merton Hotel is the perfect venue for your next function or special event. The Beer Garden is sun filled in the afternoon and lit with wax lanterns after dark. An excellent space for birthday, engagement, reunion or family celebrations and corporate or business get together/meetings.

Also we have B&B accommodation available upstairs for up to 12 guests, for any interstate friends or family attending your function.

The Merton Hotel is a locally owned and family run hotel with views of the city and harbour bridge.

We offer relaxed , comfortable and affordable bed and breakfast accommodation 3km from the city – city and Darling Harbour are 5 minutes in taxi or bus or a walk over the Anzac bridge.

Accommodation options include:

1 Queen room with double bunk with shared bathroom facilities

2 Queen room suite with a private bathroom

The whole floor may be booked out for family groups or friends up to a maximum of 12 people. There are 5 rooms and two and a half bathrooms in total. All rooms have TV, ceiling fans and external windows, some with views over the city and Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Continental breakfast is included - cereal, fruit, yoghurt, juice, tea and coffee and pastries.
