Rooms

Ainslie Serviced, self catering, furnished budget 2 bedroom apartment/duplex near Canberra CBD. Ainslie is a leafy suburb of Canberra in the North Canberra district. The suburb was named after James Ainslie, a veteran of the Battle of Waterloo and the first overseer of “Duntroon Station” and who was commissioned to drive a mob of sheep south from Bathurst until he found suitable land. Ainslie chose the Limestone Plains (Canberra District) and was overseer for ten years before returning to Scotland. The suburb is characterised by leafy streets, and mainly by detached single dwelling houses. Many see a “village” atmosphere around the many small parks. Ainslie is within walking distance of the city and the nature trails of Mount Ainslie are nearby with the Australian War Memorial, many restaurants of Dickson and the City.

Ainslie has many benefits: a central location, with equally easy access to the CBD and the bush trails of Mount Ainslie; the abundance of charming early twentieth-century, heritage-listed houses; mature street trees and general leafiness; and a vibrant local shopping centre. Many of Canberra’s government departments, including Defence, ATO, CSIRO, Centrelink along with the Australian National University are located within a 5 min drive from the accommodation. Belconnen Town Centre is around 15 minutes drive and Tuggeranong Town Centre is around 20 minutes drive both a little longer by Public Transport. Please click below photos for unit information.

Griffith Located near the parliamentary triangle, yet out of the centre of the city, Griffith is an ideal suburb for a short term stay. Griffith is one of Canberra’s oldest suburbs, with several of its streets laid out according to Walter Burley Griffin’s original designs for Canberra. The suburb has 20 parks covering nearly 12% of the total area. Griffith contains Manuka Shopping Centre, one of the earliest shopping areas built in Canberra and home to one of the fine dining, entertainment and boutique shopping areas of Canberra. It features tree lined streets that the more established Canberra suburbs are known for. Kingston shopping centre is also located around 1 kilometre from the units. Manuka football stadium, home to the Raiders is located 1 kilometre from the units as are the hockey fields in Narrabundah. For a business trip, it is only minutes from the Parliamentary triangle and offices, and a short trip into the CBD. Tuggeranong Town Centre and Belconnen Town Centre are around a 15 min to 20 min drive and a little longer by public transport. For a holiday, Griffith is right on the doorstep of some of Canberra’s best tourist attractions, and handy to markets, cafes and restaurants. Please click below photos for unit information.

Chifley Chifley is located in the district of Woden Valley and was named after Joseph Chifley, Prime Minister of Australia. The streets of Chifley are named for Scientists and Educationalists. Chifley is next to the suburbs of Pearce, Lyons and Phillip and behind it stands Mount Taylor, a nature park which features bush walks and wonderful views of the Woden Valley. It is bordered by Hindmarsh and Melrose Drive and is a 10 min walk (by bike path) to Westfield Shopping Centre. The local shopping centre which is a 2 minute walk from the units features the well-known eatery (A Bite To Eat), supermarket, chemist etc. and the units back on to Chifly Neighbourhood Oval. The city is about 10 minutes by car and a little longer by public transport. Public transport is located just across the road from the units. Belconnen and Tuggeranong Town Centres are located within a 15 to 20 min drive from the units. In Chifley we offer Budget studio units. Stay from 1 night to 3 months, or negotiate for longer terms.
