Restaurant

The name Éléments is derived from the natural elements of fire, water and soil, components that resonate with the Hunter Valley region and are reflected in the entire restaurant experience. A a new menu driven by the food philosophy of the fusion of classic French cuisine with Australian produce.

The Restaurant’s menu has insured a balance for both couples and family dining. A relaxed and affordable dining experience will also flow through to our Tempo Bar for a casual drink, game of pool or a listen to our classic vinyl record collection while accompanying on one of our instruments. Our facility is fully licensed with a local wine list with varied selections fto cater for your individual tastes.

Wedding Reception and Conference Rooms

The Lodge Room -This room is perfect for that small, intimate hunter valley wedding with up to 40 guests. It overlooks the beautiful Lodge Gardens, ceremony area and fountain. The Lodge Terrace is perfect for guests to enjoy canapés and drinks after the ceremony and / or before your reception commences. This can be used for lunch or dinner receptions.

The Riesling Room -Overlooking the Lodge Gardens and pool area, the Riesling Room has rustic charm and natural light. The adjacent terrace is perfect for your guests to enjoy pre dinner drinks before moving into the room for a night of dinner and dancing to celebrate your wedding day. The gorgeous sandstone fireplace can be lit to bring warmth to a cosy winter wedding. Subject to availability and room hire fees apply

The Shiraz Room -The large timber dance floor is the centre piece of this wedding reception room. With a capacity for 120 guests you will enjoy a fantastic evening with all of your family and friends. Guests can await your arrival while enjoying pre dinner drinks on the outside terrace.

The Semillon Ballroom -Finding it hard to find somewhere that will cater for a larger wedding? Look no further; our Semillon Ballroom is perfect for a sit down dinner for 160 guests or a cocktail reception for up to 220 guests! No need to cut down your guest list with this room.

The Chardonnay Room -Air-conditioned conference room with abundance of natural light and like the Shiraz Room, opens out onto a garden terrace area, suitable for tea and coffee breaks and light meals. The Chardonnay Rooms full-length glass windows on one side can be fully blacked out for audio-visual purposes, it also features high ceilings and a large drop down screen. The room is ideal for conferences of up to 80 delegate’s theatre style or U shape for 40 delegates

The Conservatory -This Unique conference room boasts natural light overlooking our stunning water feature and manicured gardens, perfect for an executive conference or intimate private dinner of up to 35 guests, complimented with a large open fireplace.

Directions to Mercure Resort Hunter Valley

Plane

Cessnock Airport is the nearest gateway in the region that offers charter and helicopter flights only. Visitors from Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane can take a flight going to Newcastle Airport for approximately an hour. Newcastle Airport which serves domestic flights is the second convenient gateway to reach Cessnock for an hour drive.

Trains and Buses

Take a train from Sydney Central going either to the stations in Maitland, Morisette or Newcastle. These three stations has connecting coaches going to Hunter Valley, Cessnock. Travel duration depends on the station prefered by passengers. It is advisable to check train timetables to plan ahead your journey.

Car

There are various routes from Sydney that could take you to Cessnock and the Hunter Valley Region. Drive north to Sydney Harbour Bridge and continue to the National Highway. Take the M1-Pacific Motorway going towards Newcastle and take the exit Freemans Drive- B 82 and continue to Broke Rd to your destination in Pokolbin. Visitors who are opt for wine tasting must have a reliable driver since the country has strict drinking laws that are policed throughout the region.
