By Rail
Queenslands Rail Traveltrain operates train services daily to Rockhampton from Brisbane and Cairns and extended west to Longreach. The Tilt Train service runs 4 times per week between Brisbane and Cairns. It will take approximately 7 hours to travel from Rockhampton to Brisbane. The ‘Sunlander’ and ‘Spirit of the Outback’ trains also operate via Rockhampton to the Tropical North and Outback Queensland.
