Rhenosterpoort, situated in the Waterberg Mountains and disected by the Rhenoster River, is an unspoilt piece of paradise that has been a regular destination for hikers since 1996. There are two bush camps for hikers and two marked hiking trails of 10 km and 12 km. There have been many requests in the past for a different type of accommodation to the very primitive bush camps and the result is two self-catering chalets overlooking a dam on the Rhenoster River. of two marked hiking trails, fishing, and bird watching. Also perfect
for just relaxing in the peaceful natural surroundings. |

The area is malaria-free and the proximity of the chalets to a permanent water source means that this is the perfect place to visit in the summer. Kids will love swimming in all the natural rock pools.
There are many activities in the area that your hosts Anton and Sharyn will help book. Visit the Marakele National Park, go on a Big 5 game drive at Kololo Nature Reserve, spend some time on the Cheetah Feeding Tour at the de Wildt Shingwedzi Cheetah Farm, and much more.
Rhenosterpoort Water Retreat Accommodation
The Stone Chalet sleeps four and has an en-suite bathroom and fully-equipped kitchenette. There is a private braai area with place for a campfire to sit around, ideal for a cool sundowner after a hot summer's day.
The Timber Chalet has accommodation for two, has an en-suite bathroom and a fully-equipped kitchenette. The deck overlooking the dam is the perfect place to relax on a hot summer's day. There is a private braai area and visitors can also relax around a cosy campfire.
