Jembisa is a bush home situated in it's own private game reserve, the Palala River Reserve, named after the river that runs through it. It is located in an area in the Limpopo province in South Africa known as the Waterberg.

River Cottage is secluded, private and fully equipped. Come and stay here to escape to the peace and tranquillity of the bush.

River Cottage, is an isolated cottage set in a beautiful spot, often visited by our resident rhino, and is right next to the Palala river.

Jembisa River Cottage Vaalwater

Perfect for a couple, the cottage sleeps two people (fixed double bed) with mosquito netting. It has a bathroom with bath and shower, lounge with fireplace and fully kitted kitchen. Towels and bed linen are provided. Wood bundles are available at additional expense.

Crockery, cutlery, 2 ring stove, kettle and toaster are provided. All you need to bring is your own food and drinks, and possibly ice. You can self-drive or walk on the reserve.

Please note that 4x4 in not necessary to navigate the roads but a vehicle with high clearance would be recommended.

You can self-drive or walk on the reserve. Guided game drives and walks can be booked through Jembisa Lodge. Game on the reserve includes White Rhino, Giraffe, Burchell’s Zebra, Kudu, Eland, Impala, Warthog, Bushpig and much more.
