Tholo Lodge Accommodation
Tholo Lodge consists of six spacious chalets, a central dining area with lounge, and a swimming pool. Just 250 km from Pretoria, this self-catering lodge is situated in the exclusive Tholo Bush Estate, a 2000-hectare nature estate set in the heart of the Waterberg.
Stretched along the riverbank, each luxurious chalet boasts a private deck, walk-in closet and beautiful en-suite bathroom, while the central area comprises a fully-equipped kitchen, dining room, lounge, and two bathrooms.
Cool off in the swimming pool during warm bushveld summers or enjoy an
African bush fire with an open fireplace. Sundowners can be enjoyed on
the deck whilst viewing the game coming down to drink. Other activities
at Tholo Lodge include canoeing, fishing, hiking, bird watching, mountain
biking, and game viewing. We invite you to experience the African bush
in its true splendour.
There are 6 spacious and luxurious chalets equipped with:

Each Chalet has a private deck.
One bedroom with:
· walk-in closet,
· beautiful en-suite bathrooms, sleeping 2 per chalet.

Activities
Activities offered on the premises: Game drives, bird watching,
canoeing, fishing, 4x4 trails, walking and mountain biking.
Game Viewing
Tholo Bush Estate is a bird-watchers paradise. A wide variety of bird
species can be found here.
“Poer se Loop” flows through the farm and ends in a lovely
7½ Ha dam. Another sight-seeing is the “Ramatak spruit”
that flows for 3 ½ kilometers through the farm. During the high
rain season 10 natural fountains can be seen on the farm.
For the Adventurers we provide the following activities:
- Mountain Biking
- Cano’s/Rowing
- Walking Trails from beginners up to the more experienced walkers.
- Fishing
- 4x4 Trails For those who want to enjoy the nature, the following activities
are available:
- Game drives
- Game viewing from specially build shelters near the waterholes
- Awesome sun settings at varies view points, pack a picnic basket

- Mama Tau White Lion (breeding project) - 35 minutes drive.
- Marekele Game Park with Big Five - 1 Hour and 20 minutes drive.

- Goat farm, Rhino Museum with lots of information with regards to the
Waterberge and much, much more!
