Getting There by Car
For timetables and online booking go to Caledonian MacBrayne who run car
both car and passenger ferries to the islands all year round.
Ullapool to Stornoway (Lewis), Uig (Skye) to Tarbert (Harris) and Loch
Maddy (North Uist), Oban to Barra.
We will make arrangements directly with you in advance of your arrival
and show you to your property.
Getting there by Aeroplane
Stornoway is connected to the mainland by daily flights to the major Scottish
airports.
Highland Airways operate daily flights between Inverness and Stornoway.
Getting There by Ferry
You can travel from Ullapool to Stornoway in less than 3 hours on the
large and comfortable Calmac ferry, the "Isle of Lewis ".
Alternatively you can choose the shorter crossing (1hr 40mins) from Uig
on Skye to Tarbert on Harris. During your journey across the Minch you
can take in an array of islands, as well as carry out a bit of dolphin
and porpoise spotting!
