This attractive small campsite includes 8 shielings (wooden tents). It has basic facilities providing an easily accessible rural experience just 30 minutes by car from central Glasgow or the Ayrshirecoast. The campsite is a 20 minute drive from Glasgow Airport or a 40 minute drive from Prestwick Airport. Enjoy the peace and quite - mobile phone reception is poor! Listen to the Locher Burn meander pass, take advantage of the nearby community woodland for walks, views to Loch Lomond National Park and a link route (5.5km) to Muirshiel Country Park and Visitor Centre. The site is NOT suitable for caravans or dogs. The nearest shops, bank, catering outlets and public telephone are at least 4 miles away in Lochwinnoch, Bridge of Weir or Kilmacolm. The larger towns of Paisley and Greenock are 10 to 15 miles away providing a full range of visitor services, attractions and leisure facilities.
