Fort William HotelsOn the shores of Loch Arkaig, Ardechive is a striking highland location. Three properties are available for rental. The Cottage (sleeps 6) and House (sleeps 8) and The Kennels (sleep 5) all have been extensively refurbished to provide luxurious, self-catering accommodation.

The Cottage has been renovated and extended to offer a delightful living space. Original thick stonewalls, wood panelling and roaring log burner fill the Cottage with character; the spacious main room forms the centrepiece of a truly charming property.

The House has undergone a dramatic upgrading and now features a “green oak” extension that combines a sizeable kitchen and sunroom with large open log burning fire. There is a separate dining area, again of oak construction, linking the old house to the new extension.

The Kennels annex also provides extra accomodation for up to 5 guests including a 8ftx4ft pool table, sky TV and Wifi.

Each property commands views of Loch Arkaig and offers easy access to a full range of outdoor pursuits. This area of outstanding natural beauty is renowned for many stunning walks and endless opportunities to view the native wildlife including Otters, Pine Marten, Cuckoo and Woodpeckers.

Get picked up at Ardechive for a guided tour conducted by experienced local guides by Achnacarry Country and Sporting Pursuits for a fantastic day, Red Deer stalking, Pike/Trout Fishing, Wildlife spotting and photography, there is an abundance of wildlife to be spotted including Golden Eagles, Sea Eagles, Ospreys and Buzzards. Also Waterfowl, Ducks Sandpipers, Greenshank and Black Throated Divers. Also Clay Pigeon shooting, something for everyone.

The historic town of Fort William is a 40 minute drive away, and Spean Bridge is even nearer for all the basic day-to-day necessities.
