A charming detached cottage looking onto a 9 acre walled garden which is lined with fruit trees. This self-catering cottage can comfortably sleep seven people.

A luxury self catering cottage set within the stunning grounds of Gordon Castle in the heart of Speyside. It overlooks a 9 acre walled garden lined with mature fruit trees and is only a few feet away from the picturesque lake and the curling pond.

Gordon Castle is an exclusive private castle and 450 acre estate situated near Fochabers in the heart of whisky country. It was historically the principal seat of the Dukes of Gordon, built by George Gordon, the 2nd Earl of Huntly in the 1470’s.

Garden Cottage is a picturesque cottage which exudes charm and character with a combination of modern day luxury and historical presence.

The sitting room has a cosy open fire and a door opening out to the walled garden where you can relax and enjoy the seasons of the fruit trees in the walled garden.

The spacious well equipped kitchen/diner makes catering a joy and is the perfect place to enjoy a long relaxing breakfast. The bedrooms are all individual and tastefully decorated with period pieces and beautiful bedding.

Attractions:
All of the self-catering cottages are located near to the traditional Scottish village of Fochabers. The self-catering cottages are also situated just a stone’s throw from the beautiful river Spey, famous for its superb salmon fishing and provide a superb base from which to explore this area.

The Spey Valley is an iconic part of Scotland, and we benefit from being rural but not too far from the towns like Huntly, Keith and Banff.

The historic city of Elgin (just 10 miles away) also provides a range of amenities; shops, restaurants and entertainment to suit all tastes, along with the world famous Johnston Woolen Mill.
Visitors can enjoy lovely walks direct from the property.

The famous Castle and Whisky trails are all within a short drive. It is ideal for cycling, exploring rugged coastline, visiting quaint fishing villages, salmon and trout fishing, pony trekking, golf and visiting National Trust for Scotland properties.

There is no shortage of things to do. Visit glorious sandy beaches which are also on our doorstep, ski in the Highlands or surf the waves of Scotland's sandy beaches at Sandend and Lossiemouth. Baxter’s Visitors Centre is just on the other side of the river.
Notable events in the area include the Fochabers Speyfest, Dufftown Whisky Festivals, Portsoy Boat Festival, Turriff Show, Keith Show and various local highland games.

Dogs: We do understand how nice it is to take all the family on holiday so dogs are allowed in the estate properties. In order to continue to take advantage of this situation, owners are asked to be responsible and follow a few simple rules.
The rules are:
Dogs are not allowed upstairs or in the bedrooms.
They are not to be left in the cottages on their own. Please leave them in your car or take them with you.
Please clean up after your dog. including in the garden.
One of the attractions of the location is the rural setting and abundance of wildlife and farm animals. Dogs are to be kept under control at all times.
